I won't lead your votes friend, but you would probably really like The Dears (regardless of their pairing with Metric - so you should definitely do some homework here sooner or later). Heavy Smiths influence at most turns. Dipped and rolled in misery often enough you should feel right at home. Can't see you liking DFA more than Wolf Parade, or Tegan & Sarah more than The Stills (Interpol lite from Montreal and relocated to NY). High Dials are cool, but that one's not even close. Black Mountain are boring. fwiw. I like Metric quite a lot, but I'm not inclined to vote on that bracket as I just haven't had chance to check out the Dears. Yeah, I like the Stills though the singer's voice is weak. My favourite Canadian band of all time, fwiw, is GYBE, who didn't make the veteran list, although have they now split?
