BSS vs Arcade Fire was the only hard decision I've had to make in this thing so far. But lack of output doomed AF in the end.

Listened to Stars on the way to work this morning. Like JLLM so perfectly put it, Set Yourself On Fire is "surprisingly good." I never would have thought I'd enjoy such a set up.
I've enjoyed it for awhile, but really got into it during the last month. I really need to make a "proper" 2005 best of list, now that enough time has passed to look at everything objectively.

Damnit, I missed the last round. Would have been one more vote for Stars, who I really and truly do think are the best band in Canada right now.

Man this is close. I've been concerned that AF won't be able to follow Funeral, but it's so good there's no way they should completely bomb on #2, unless they make a Stone Roses follow up.
Funeral might be as good as some of the BSS stuff, I just don't think Arcade Fire are nearly as good a band (yet?)
