I've only heard Bandwagonesque, but I liked it a lot back in the early nineties ... so that's what I'm voting for. Though I gave serious thought to that last option!  |

It may or may not surprise anyone who's watched me obsess over these guys for years, that just this week I considered the notion for the first time that I may prefer Bandwagonesque to Grand Prix. I'm not prepared to declare my vote just yet, but let's just say this whole "concept" (pun intended) of Grand Prix being anything other than their best in my eyes was pretty much inconceivable since pretty much forever.

It's always been amazing to me how much everyone harped about early Fanclub sounding so much like Big Star. The BS references in sound, art work, lyrics, and titles are there, no question, but somewhow the comparison got way too ridiculous to the point where I don't think people even bothered to listen to the songs.

As far as I know, Mantis, Layla, Doc Drum, and wayved are all Fanclub fans. CWA and Toklon are as well, but they're not here.
I suspect Bandwagonesque will win, including some votes like Ken's.

Man, I don't know...Grand Prix and Bandwagoneque have always been fairly even in my book...Howdy! too. I'll probably end up going with Grand Prix but I'm going to have to think about it.

Bandwagonesque doesn't have Sparky's Dream on it or Neil Jung or Mellow Doubt which are clearly the best songs TF ever wrote.
