Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac The best darn break-up song I've ever heard & a slice of MOR-pop perfection. I don't know about best break-up song, but it's a fantastic one, definitely top ten, if not top five. And to think that Lindsey and Stevie would sing that thing to each other every night ... talk about exorcising your demons in public! shackin' up's all you want to do

Some of my less predictable faves ... No More Mr. Nice Guy - Alice Cooper (back when that name meant the BAND, not just the lead singer!) The Seeker - the Who Call It Pretending - CCR (that this was never on an album is a sin, that it wasn't a huge hit when it was released as a single (before Suzy Q and I Put a Spell On You) is unforgivable) Dreaming - Blondie (sheer pop-punk perfection) Brian Wilson - Barenaked Ladies Son of a Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield (there's also a live Joan Osborne version of this that I just adore) Spirit of the Radio - some wankers from the Great White North As Cool As I Am - Dar Williams (there's also an amazingly funky a cappella version of this that I love) Big Rock Candy Mountain - Harry McClintock (this is from the O Brother Where Art Thou? ST) Sit Down - James Peggy Sue - Buddy Holly OK, that's enough for now ...

Like they were spitting it at one another. Meow.

Oh yeah, you see those old Sonny and Cher bits now, and it's amazing how much venom there was from Cher towards Sonny at the end. Those put-downs might have started out as a gag, but they didn't stay that way.
I quite frankly am amazed at couples who can work together. It absolutely astounds me that more of 'em don't wind up like the end of War of the Roses.

I'm a sucker for late 70's, early 80's pop. When Doves Cry - Prince The Sound Of The Crowd - The Human League Heart Of Glass - Blondie Because the Night - Patti Smith Tainted Love - Soft Cell Don't Change - INXS Look Of Love - ABC Stand And Deliver - Adam And The Ants Running up that Hill - Kate Bush Get On The Floor - Michael Jackson Super Freak - Rick James The Message - Grandmaster Flash Cars - Gary Numan M.E. - Gary Numan Da Ya Think I'm Sexy - Rod Stewart Real Men - Joe Jackson Owner Of A Lonely Heart - Yes Ashes To Ashes - Bowie Children Of The Revolution - T-Rex People Are People - Depeche Mode If any one of these songs comes on on the radio, it's cranked all the way up! You'll notice that most are also great sing-a-long tunes too.

Of-course Janet was more mid to late 80's..."Nasty Boys!"

If I had to choose a Janet song, it would be "Miss You Much". As for Madonna, "Frozen" was her finest moment, but if I had to pick an 80's track of hers it would probably be one of her really early ones. Maybe "Lucky Star" or "Into The Groove".
