Most underated band from the 80's Bay Area thrash scene imo. Video for Death Angel's "Bored"

The Darkness have videos like this where their tongues are clearly in cheek. These guys were dead fucking serious when they made this. Awesome. "Queen Of The Reich" by Queensryche. I was one of the DJ's at my Jr. High for the monthly dances. I brought this album for one of them and played this song. They made me take it off like 30 seconds in. Fuck them.

You know the majors were spending way too much money on these fucking videos for these guys. Another one of my grade 8 faves. "Can U Deliver" by Armored Saint.

Really enjoyed that clip, Ryo. Had a bit of a Sigur Ros/GY!BE feel to it, but that may have been all the birds.

Yeah, they were actually a 5-piece band. In addition to the four musicians on stage, they had a member who does all the visual projections. So blame all the birds on that guy You obviously don't know what he's singing because it's in Japanese, but I don't know what the hell he's saying either, and I'm a native speaker! I swear, he's way ahead of circa-1983 Michael Stipe in the "most unintelligible singer" race.

The singing was a lot of what reminded me of Sigur Ros. Doesn't bother me not knowing what the singer is saying. I was a fan of Michael Stipe BEFORE he decided to stop mumbling, and two of my favorite acts, Cocteau Twins and Sigur Ros, don't even sing real languages.
The projections were a lot of what I liked about that clip. So you say these guys have broken up? That's too bad. I liked 'em.

Yeah, four albums (all of them without titles, annoyingly enough) before they broke up last year, and a posthumous live CD/DVD (also untitled of course). I was fortunate to see them just once when they toured for their last (and best) album.
Edit: And yeah, I think even downy would fall behind the Cocteau Twins and Sigur Ros in the unintelligible race. I don't think anyone could beat those two bands...

Riley's putting up clips of Dokken and Queensryche, while I'm putting up downy and Shibusa Shirazu. Man, I'm so hipper than him

Everyone's hipper than me Ryo. Sadly for me but not so much for you folks, my actual metal phase in Jr. High School lasted much longer than my metal phase on this thread.

George Washington is fucking bizarre but cracks me up everytime I watch it - which is often. Thanks to the boy at work who brought it to my attention. Six foot twenty, fucking killing for fun.

Besides being one of the best Sonic Youth songs ever, I love the video for Bull in the Heather. Kathleen Hanna is so cute here.
