Much thanks to Don for introducing me to this guy Michael Kelsey. It's amazing how he throws in so many familiar songs from TV shows on the "The Frosted Side" clip here. All that stuff begins at about the 5 minute mark if anyone only wants to see that part. It's all really good though. Incredible guitarist, this guy. This guy is a performer's performer. And this particular performance will NOT disappoint, I promise. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCMfk7x2W54He had, what, 6 songs intertwining with each other at the end? Fascinating.

I'm ready to see him again in 2 weeks as he'll be on one of the stages at a big Taste Fest here in Lafayette. And I'm MORE than overdue for a good night out! Should be noted that the clip you linked to segues out of "The Frosted Side" into a song of his called "Satellite" -- a favorite of mine that I've actually have better takes of....never have seen him work in all the TV themes though. I think that clip is a few years old...as a YouTube posted noted it's also MUCH better to be in the room seeing him rather than trying to soak him up in video. His sets vary in style & intensity as well as what kind of stops he may pull out. In short tho', you called it Thunk: a performer's performerI put this link up once before T,,,,if you didn't look at it then, DO check it out. It has veins of "The Frosted Side" but ends up in 7th gear with a twist on a classic rock tune: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLvqypgRjtE&feature=related^^ also show how he loops things live

Yep, I got that one d/l'd to my RealPlayer and watch every now and again. I showed to my nephew yesterday, in fact. He's a guitarist too and thought the guy was amazing. I downloaded that right when you gave it to me many months ago and sent it out to several of my email contacts. A cousin and a nephew both replied that it was "nuts" or something like that, in a good way though. They both let me know that they were pretty much floored. I've put the actual "The Frosted Side" (the original 2:41 version that you sent me on CD) on a few mixes for different people. Soooo glad you introduced me to this dude.

I'm trying to watch the vid but your damn avatar is distracting me, Don. Ye Gods! Watched that vid- very nice guitar interplay indeed. I hope he'll come to play live here one day- I'll definitely won't miss him then.

Yeah I just loved it when the 2nd guitarist kicked it in at around the 3 minute mark, stamping his heels and all....this is another performer's name that I see and am woefully unexperienced of......
(July is almost over so Mr. Jeremy will be withdrawn....the Hedgehog campaign turned out sadly to be a bit of a bust anyhow....just not the wood it used to be it seems)

Thanks for that, Don. The first one sounds a good bit more like Porcupine Tree to me. Pretty good. The 2nd one says it's no longer available.

Musical Brain Food - Little Tempo jp.youtube.com/watch?v=gRYEb7Xk1nIGod I love this band. I just saw them two months ago, but am dying to see them again (besides, I was flat out drunk during most of the show and don't remember much of it!)

This is the best song yet written this decade, I've decided. Great performance.
