I don't get it Is it b/c VH covered "You Really Got Me" on that album? At any rate Eddie Van Halen and Diamond Dave are no Ray Davies! Where's Dolly when I need her?

Catching up ...
Bob Dylan - best studio album: Blonde on Blonde; best live album: Live: 1966. Pavement - never really connected with me. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - I don't like Nick Cave. Sue me. Elvis Costello - This Year's Model. Faith No More - Angel Dust. Mr. Bungle - not really a fan, just doesn't grab me one way or the other. Fugazi - not really a critical blind spot, more of a "I've just never bought anything" blind spot. Peter Gabriel - While Security (PGIV) has great sentimental value for me, PGIII (the one with the melting face and Games Without Frontiers) is his best work. And one of the best albums in rock. Tom Petty - Damn the Torpedoes (any other answer is just unnacceptable). Tom Waits- Bone Machine is his best album, but I like Rain Dogs more. Leonard Cohen- can't ... get ... past ... off-key, horrid "singing" voice ... Sonic youth- I should say Daydream Nation, but instead I'm going with Dirty. Emmylou Harris- I'm not qualified.

Ha ha. Thanks Ken for sparing some of my additions with nicer alternatives to "they suck." And yes, Melt is one of the greatest albums in rock. Tom Waits - really am not familiar with a lot of his vast catalogue, but I do love Rain Dogs Leonard Cohen - agree with Ken on his voice. I really like Various Positions, though for the most part. Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation is their best, but for some reason A Thousand Leaves has stood out so much for me that it's become my favorite. Emmylou Harris - n/a Mary - glad to hear you're still holding onto Let Love In as Mr. Cave's best. If No More Shall We Part were short just one track...1...I'd definitely agree.

Pavement's not for everybody.
FNM, however, has a little something for everybody who likes good rock.

Lou Reed: I'll say Transformer, but there are still many, MANY albums of his I need to get to. Nirvana: I'll take In Utero barely over Bleach, as it doesn't have Chad Channing. The Clash: The Clash (US... never got to the UK version). Hard to name something that rocks harder and kicks more ass. Blondie: bam boom clap smack *SLAP*
