At least I don't have "ABBA Live" and the "Mamma Mia" Original Cast Recording in my collection, Scarecrow. I understand that you've got pics of the band from the seventies up around the house, too. Actually, if I could buy all the Doors master tapes, I would ... and burn those suckers in a great big funeral pyre. Put Morrison's ghost to rest once and for all.

Speaking of live recordings, I watched No Direction Home on PBS last night, the Martin Scorsese's documentary about "His Bobness" ...
You get to see the famous "Judas-You're a liar-Play fuckin loud" exchange before the band tear up into "Like a Rolling Stone" ...
Clearly one of R'n'R definitive moment ... !!

Ken, off the top of my head, I have live albums by the following Western acts:
U2 The Who Wilco Damon And Naomi
And that's it, though there might be more I can't think of right now.

I love live albums, and so I've got a ton of the damn things. Not to mention every single live "Doors" recordings including many hard-to-find bootlegs with Jim Morrison poetry recitals ! what....no mention of the infamous Morrison/Hendrix jam?

Hey guys I'm sorry but I think i am going to have to pull out of the running for this board / activity for a while - I have all the enthusiasm but none of the time lately - with a new baby on the way and two other kids to keep perky and smiley, I find my time to sit and make CDs just isn't there! But man if there were just an extra hour in every day...

I'm sorry, this board is for people who are participating in the mix CD swap. ;D Oh sure... complain about the lack of estrogen in the CD swap and then alienate the one girl who's posted here and expressed an interest in joining in at some point. And to think that I was about to compliment you on, erm... something as well. Hmph! Hey Tunes, if you want to join in, I could duplicate the mix I send to DED and send you a copy....would be great if somehow you culd be part of this swap too.

Scottsy - Sure, but be sure to join back in on the fun when you've sent your kids off to college. I'm sure we'll still be doing this, and we certainly look forward to your participation in the "best of the early half of the 2020s" round I was gonna do the disc this weekend, but I forgot my CD carry case, which contained some of the tracks I intend to put in my mix, at the office. So I couldn't. Is there a more legitimate excuse than that? Nope, I don't think so.
