Yep, taking tracks off Mellon Collie would defeat the whole point of the thing. As silly as people saying you should "take the middle out of Moon & Antarctica." Bah!
Mellon Collie was the album that cemented my love for music. Without its overblown landscapes and dramatic, questionable lyrical content, I am nothing. Take away even "We Only Come Out at Night" and zap, there goes a part of my soul.

Desist thy meddling with Mellon Collie, you philistine rabble! It's not to be touched - even the crappy Iha-penned tune must stay.
Though yeah, TAFH should have been on it. Interested in that 3rd disc playlist, as I'd like to try it out...

I think I've only got 18,19 and 20 from that lot. Shouldn't be hard to acquire though so I'll check 'em out. Cheers. I seem to remember that at least one track from Pisces Iscariot was recorded for MCIS but left off at the last minute. I don't have the original anymore to check the liner notes.

My only complaint with Mellon Collie really was the way the damn thing was recorded. I think the worst thing that Corgan did was get rid of Vig. Bad move...............

I haven't listend to Mellon Collie since the 1990's...I don't even have the disc anymore, and can barely remeber a thing about it....Never got into the Pumpkins too much anyway...From what I remember my favorite album was 'Gish'....who knows now? Its been so long since I've bothered to listen to them, I really don't even remember what the albums sound like....They did manage to put out some really good singles though....as overplayed as it was, "1979" was really cool, and had/has a great vibe to it.
Hmm, some of my friends have their albums; perhaps I'll borrow a few over the next few months to reintroduce myself....

Maybe when you get it back they'll have edited it down to one disc like it should have been when it was released. Cross your fingers.

I bought the Aeroplane Flies High back in high school. I'd like to whittle that fucker down also.
Brevity is a skill. Clearly one only appreciated by the sexy people.

Here's one: Bands that you liked at first and then you just really started to hate them. That for me would be The Arcade Fire. Ugh.
Here's what I would do for Mellon Collie and most will not agree with me:
1. Tonight, Tonight 2. F You (An Ode To No One) 3. Love 4. Cupid De Locke 5. Galapagos 6. Muzzle 7. Porcelina of the Vast Oceans 8. 1979 9. Through The Eyes of Ruby 10. We Only Come Out At Night 11. Zero 12. Beautiful 13. Lily (My One and Only)

Lily (My One and Only) If I had to, which I see no reason you should, but if I had to edit it down to one disc this is pretty good...I might add Jelly Belly, 33 & X.Y.U...I really like the overblown rockers....

When I was a wee little kid, I actually liked the Eagles -- I hate them now. Although I can tolerate one or two of their songs. I used to be really into the Doors, but the older I've gotten the less I listen to them. I don't hate them, I just don't get many urges to listen to them.

I actually have to admit to not disliking some songs by the Eagles in small doses.
