This is a fun game that comes to us courtesy of Howie. We used to play it on another site a lot. The idea is to "cloak" the name of a famous musician, band, album, or whatever, using other words or clues that spell out the name phonetically.
It's a lot more fun if people don't get too obscure in the answer, in other words, someone most people here would be likely to know or at least have heard of.
Here are some examples:
Drill part + naked + prefix for something that's being done over again Chuck + Bare + 're-' = Chuck Berry!
It's human + to be indebted + tire leak sound + Oedipus Rex Err + owe + sssss + myth = Aerosmith
Religious sect, dings, see-through, liquid, Superman actor, I have, everyone Credence Clearwater Revival
Myself + crematory ash receptacle + posterior + humble stammer + annoying insect pest I + urn Butt + er + fly = Iron Butterfly
Take by force or threat of force + Cowardly Lion's first name + prostitute's customer + 93 million miles and you're there. Rob + Burt (Lahr) + John + Sun = ROBERT JOHNSON
Take a leak, artificial grass, freeway exit, 2K lbs. Pee + Turf + Ramp + Ton = Peter Frampton
Fierce canine + Homo Sapiens + lift "Pit Bull Human Elevator?" Wolfman Jack
Bunch of ships + lumber + English rain coat Fleetwood Mac
A thing people might use to get to work in Doc's city + stammering sound + neither/____ + to fix the game + black and yellow animal "L" - uh - nor, rig - bee = Eleanor Rigby!
