I think it will be more of the same for me, which isn't a bad thing.

I predict that Pearl Jam will go on "indefinate hiatus".
Wilco will break up after their new album.
Sonic Youth will sign to Matador records.
The Shins will sign to a major label.
Issac Brock will die of a cocaine/whiskey overdose.
Fugazi will reform.

I predict that Pearl Jam will go on "indefinate hiatus" Wilco will break up after their new album. This would make me sad. Either of 'em, but especially Wilco. Although a Jeff Tweedy solo album could be excellent, especially if he keeps it voice and guitar with no band. His solo live shows are great. That would make sense, but whatever. I would be profoundly indifferent to either of these. I'm aroused just thinking about this.

Issac Brock will die of a cocaine/whiskey overdose. Fugazi will reform. I can see the last one happening, and maybe SY going to Matador; that makes sense. Also, I can envision Wilco calling it quits...it's essentially Jeff Tweedy behind everything anyway. Pearl Jam on hiatus...no way. There last show this year is in December, in Hawaii w/ U2... During the 'Avocado' sessions they recorded roughly 25 songs....Look for Lost Dogs Vol. 2, or perhaps something similar to what Radiohead did w/ Kid A and Amnesiac. I predict OutKast will break up. Rumors have been persistent since 1998...maybe this will be the year.

I would honestly be pretty surprised if Fuagzi ever get together again. Intverviews I've read with Ian and Guy seem to indicate that none the band is really very interested in it, certainly not as soon as next year.
I don't see Wilco breaking up, however, I can see them taking the hiatus route for Tweedy to do a solo album.
Pearl Jam are the new Stones. They will continue far past prudence.
The Shins will probably sign to a Major, SY may well sign with Matador
I don't give a shit about Isaac Brock

Shouldn't this title go to U2 before Pearl Jam? At least PJ are still making good records....

Oh god I'd give anything for U2 to break up. Anything. I hate that band, even their "good" records are wanky as far as I'm concerned.
Issac Brock is basically nothing more than a bad Frank Black impersonator with mental retardation.
Outkast should have broke up after "The Love Below". Go out on top instead of giving us this stinky album that is out now. I could honestly care less about Outkast now that's for sure.
Pearl Jam not breaking up will hopefully keep kids from 90s nostalgia for a few more years, if luck is on my side.
The newly reformed Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio will show the world how much they rocked with him is my last prediction because atleast Dio can get through an interview with out slurring all of his words into a unintelligable mess.

Not gonna happen...the nostalgia for past decades happens every 10 to 20 years....i.e. in the 90's the 70's were hip again.
Really though, I thought the 90's were pretty cool overall....it's was like a hodge podge decade that took a lot of styles from the 50's, 60's and 70's and mixed them all together...the 90's beat the 80's IMO -- as far as music, politics, and technology, and well pop culture in general.

No thanks, I'm a huge fan of the 80s. I like the music, the beginning of the modern indie label structure that we have now (especially the rise of indie rock in the 90s) thought the fashion was cool, TV was pretty awesome too and no one had cellphones yet.
The 90s were good for me as well, I just have a nice spot in my heart for the 80s even though I wasn't that old in the 80s.

Did the last time Sab reformed with Dio teach you nothing? Seriously, the first two records with Dio were pretty ace in my opinion. It's not my fault you can't see it......
