I predict that in mid-'07 the White Stripes break up and Holzman realizes that he wasted the last 7 years of his life not following them on tour.

The new KoRn is released, and ThoRny writes up a breathless review proclaiming it to be the greatest thing since the last KoRn album. ThoRn is taken by surprise when he then recieves a call from Jonathan, asking him if he wants to tour with the band, an offer which he then refuses b/c of his previous commitment to Dead Astral Flesh. Three weeks later, DAF breaks up and ThoRn calls KoRn, begging to be included in the tour. Alas, he's turned down, and shudders when he hears that the spot he was offered went instead to "some kick-ass percussionist from Austin." While this nameless percussionist's identity is never confirmed, Skvor's presence at Castaways is suddenly at a minimum. Later in the year, when pressed for details of "what he did with his summer vacation," Skvor will only say "I was out." After all of the above, ThoRn does not name the latest KoRn as his album of the year. Instead, he selects the new Harry Connick, saying that HC has "really nailed where I'm at right now." Shortly after, ThoRn gets a modest haircut, buys a suit, and announces that his last name has now been changed to Osmond. LmAo ! awesome |

Whole lotta hyperbole from luke on Hissing Fauna. It's a pretty good album with its share of great and notsogreat moments. "The Past is a Grotesque Animal" is brilliant though.

Ok. I just heard the new Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah song because it was produced by Dave Friedmann, in the hopes that maybe I'm just missing something. Nope, those guys still don't do it for me and their singer absolutely can not sing. Sometimes not being able to "sing" is cool like Kris Kristopherson or Dylan, but dudes, the singer for that shit collective is just horrendous. David Byrne should be kicking people's ass for saying that guy sounds like him. I'd be embarrassed if I was in that band.
I also heard the new Modest Mouse song and I was a little confused; I could have swore it was Franz Ferdinand with a retarded Frank Black singing back ups. Man, I don't know. I've loved Modest Mouse from the beginning but this new sound isn't sitting me with right now. I like it when a band changes, BUT, I might not dig this.....it's too early to tell. I will have to hear the rest of the record before I make a total judgement.
