Out of all the amazing artistry listed, if you didn't find who you consider to be the best band of the 70s, you can pick which of these two you prefer. I personally cannot pick.

Peter Gabriel
Squeeze
...are just a handful of artists that come to mind who either started or participated in the 70's and are independently better than the collective efforts of Zep and Floyd.
To sum that decade up with those two artists is fucking embarassing. Try this thread again please. This one needs to be deleted. See this is where Chrisfan was particularly useful.
Jesus. The first four Kiss albums are more interesting to listen to today than the entire catalogues of Zep and Floyd.
