Man, that's a tough one. I like them all for what they are and what they are not. I'm a huge fan of CRCR but Wowee Zowee might have to top the list for me because of the Zappa reference and just the amount of kick ass songs. Plus, "We Dance" is just one of the coolest songs ever.
Yep. Wowee Zowee for me too.

Hard to pick a favorite. If Pavement albums formed a boy band, it'd be summed up like this:
Terror Twilight - The mustachioed, ultra-sensitive, slightly feminine guy who shies away from the public persona of boy-band member, unless using it of course to hawk his runaway mag hit offering all sorts of sex advice and fresh fashion tips.
Brighten the Corners - The well-read and learned member. He's got some soul, and he's using his boy-band platform to catapult his burgeoning solo career, novel, dramatic film career, and his future in politcs.
Wowee Zowee - Seemingly out of control and spontaneous, he's a suave and charming ladies man at heart. His "fuck 'em all" attitude is indeed a sexual pun, as he does in fact fuck them all.
Crooked Rain Crooked Rain - He's the clean-cut dude. Always fresh-shaven, he offers the smoothest of vocals and often takes center stage, overshadowing the other members with his classic good looks and untainted appearance.
Slanted & Enchanted - Fresh from rehab daily, S&E's the rebel. He wears shoulder-length hair, slightly greasy, and it's rarely brushed. He only wears leather jackets and torn jeans. His chest is riddled with scars from many-a-broken-bottle barfight.

That said, I voted for Brighten the Corners because it deserves at least one vote.

I flip between Slanted and Crooked, so today I feel like Slanted.

I'm feeling a little bit sorry for Terror Twilight. Granted, it shouldn't really count as a Pavement album. We all know it was Malky's true solo debut, but really...it's a good album. I wish I had a second vote. A pity vote I guess.
CRCR WZ BtC S&E TT
It comes in last on my list too, but damn...it's still a top notch recording. They're all top-notch. It's a real bastard putting them in any sort of order. I've yet to meet a Pavement song, at all, that I don't at least like. Does that make me a sad person? I was treading through my collection tonight looking for some bootlegs for Fuzz, and I realized how much money I've spent amassing said collection. And yes, it was all worth it.

And they'll be mine for free!
But I've got some Drive-By Truckers and Bob Dylan boots to send you with your mix.
