The Raconteurs was better then the last White Stripes album, which, save for about four songs, was about as interesting as watching paint dry.

The Raconteurs album is sweet, I love it.
Lily Allen is shite. She's like karaoke night at the fashion skank bars in London put to CD. I hope she goes away fast.
The Hot Chip album is fun, I really enjoy that & everyone else should, too.

The Raconteurs suck. It's true. And as much as I'd like to agree with DED, I just can't. I listened to that album once and once was enough to know I'd never want to listen to it again.
I mean, "Please Hammer, Don't Hurt'em" was better than the Raconteurs album.

That album is okay. It's a fun little straight forward pop/rock album. But it is definately the bottom of the heap as far as anything Jack White has been involved in. And probably Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keller too. It's a step up for Brendan Benson though (*cue Holzman kicking my ass*).

See, I lean more toward Luke's assessment of it.

You're both wrong though...I don't think it's great but it ain't bad and it is better then Get Behind Me Satan...and probably their first album too,,,

Now, I saw them on TV playing live, and they look like they're probably a pretty wicked live band, but the album is nothing special. I listen to it from time to time -- there's some good stuff on it -- but the songwriting and performance is all pretty pedestrian.

We'll put that on our "to do" list if I come to Chicago.

Is that ahead of or behind "making out"?
If you drive to Chicago, I'll come with.

My wife won't fly so we'll have to drive...if you don't mind riding with the fam (and they don't mind a total stranger riding with us) I think it'd be awesome.

If your wife is coming, then we probably should move making out a little bit further down the list.

But not far down. I don't know how long I can stay, so the sooner the better.
