I like some prog...I don't really have problem with wankery either unless that's all you've got going for you.

Another thing about wankery is, a lot of people would just as easily accuse, maybe not so much punk, but certainly a lot of post punk as wankery. People who are too quick to cry wankery, to me, smack of reverse elitism.

Yeah, fat chance that it'll ever get selected as POTD, since Holzman's doing all the selecting.

So is everyone done voting than?
Okay, there it is. The greatest drummer of all time is Animal, followed by John Bonham and Neil Peart (sigh).
Pulling up the rear, such heavyweights as John Otto, Mitch Mitchell, Scott Phillips, and Travis Barker.

Peart, of course, just for Rocky.

I never voted? Why didn't I vote? I think I'll vote for Mitchell Mitchell, so nice they named him twice, for making it okay to be a sloppy sticksman who over plays.

Thanks, Drum.
He's still only half the drummer that Animal is though.

Aside from Animal (of course), Peart owns this. I concur. (And should've voted for Neil. Not that he needs my measly vote to win, of course. All the remaining percussionists on this poll must bow before their one true god)

Next time I'd like to see Peter Criss up there.

Peter's drum solo on "100,000 Years" from Kiss Alive isn't all that great a drum solo as it turns out, but when I was 5 I thought he was the greatest drummer ever.
5 year old Riley would vote for Peter Criss.

He's still only half the drummer that Animal is though. Okay then, following that line is Rick Allen of Def Leppard only one quarter due to having just one arm?
