Wow, Brian Wilson is no where near as fucked as Daniel Johnson. I don't want to hang out with the guy either...I don't want to hang out with a lot of people though.

Augie Marche is fucking terrible, boring shit.
The new Hold Steady record sucks.
Springsteen is pretty boring, unless I'm high and watching a live performance on VH1 Classic.
Saw mention of Rilo Kiley back there...that shit sucks.
JLLM had the best description for Neko Case ever, something like, "music your Great Aunt would enjoy." If it weren't for the New Pornographers, I'd never have given her the time of day. Tolerable, but more in a "well, I got my mom in the car with me, so I can't listen to the Opeth I had on, so I'll just put in this Neko Case so she won't bitch about what I'm listening to and make me put on the Light Rock radio station."

Ok, I've been listening to a lot Bowie today and that guy's put out a lot of crap. Maybe "crap" is a little strong but I thought I liked more of his stuff more then I do. A lot of it is just boring and schmaltsy. The only albums I can really say I like as a whole is the early 70's stuff and the last three or four, in between is spotty. I just thought there were more honestly great moments, instead the majority of his career has been merely enjoyable...and at times crap.
