Pollard doesn't belong anywhere near that list.

Like I said Ded, pollard is not gonna be on that list. Its generational. Dylan, Young, etc etc they have been around for ages. No one is going to change the indentation they have made on music and the public in general.
Robert Pollard, for all his mistakes, is pretty damn cool. And his music has no tinge of universality at all--its an acquired taste. BUT If I had to shitcan my dylan springsteen and Van Morrison records just so I could keep the GBV discography I would. But I would rather want out of that world......

I've been listening to a bunch of Neil Young albums lately. I just voted for Harvest. "Old Man" kicks ass.

Out of the 22 Neil Young albums I've heard, there's at least a couple of killer tracks on each album. Some have (many) more. I can't speak for Landing On Water, since I haven't heard a single note from that one. Rumor has it, it kinda sucks. RNS was the first album of his I bought and I'll always love it. Choosing a favourite here is actually quite difficult. I suppose it really depends on what mood I'm in and what I feel like listening to.

I love "Change Your Mind" off Sleeps With Angels. I love playing that one on my acoustic. The rest of the album put me to sleep though......with the angels.

Sleeps With Angels is a gem. Melon, next time you put it on, drink an espresso first. I can't understand how anyone could sleep through that album. It's probably his best out of his more 'recent' stuff.

Well, I love it to bits. The only track I'm not fond of on that one is the opening one, "My Heart". The rest I can listen to [and enjoy] straight through.
