I'm doing an article on bands/artists who had one great album and that was it--the rest was all mediocre or crappy. I've got a list of about 6 or 7 right now, but would like to get an even dozen...
Anybody got any suggestions?

I looked up Nelson on Wikipedia to see if they fit the bill. Did you guys know that they had seven albums out?

Well, yeah Nelson's a given...while everything else is okay After The Rain is the only great album.

If Hanson, Nelson AND The Bacon Brothers are all excluded then no.

Actually I've nw got about a dozen bands/artitst that are on my list, but I want to make sure I dont miss any--if I have to increase the list to include 20 bands, then so be it.
Anyway, here are some of the bands/artists that I'm still considering:

All of Mogwai's records are amazing.
The Human League has THREE great albums.
Lauren Hill has only released one record and I bet if she released a new one, it would be bad ass.
I like all of Badfinger's records.
Same for Slint.
