Do they have a set enforcement cycle like DIME does, where you have up to about 5GB to download until they start enforcing your ratio?

They give you a week or two before they start enforcing. First thing you should download a couple small popular torrents and leave them open, let them get at least a 2.0 ratio before removing them. You should be good for a while. Just make sure you don't d/l huge files if you're ratio's low but since they took discographies off that not too unless you just d/l box sets.

When you join and have access to the Oink content, visit this page: oink.me.uk/ratiowatch.phpThey're actually pretty lenient on ratio, despite their reputation (it's the uploading they really clamp down on). At this moment, I'd have to download over 130 gigs more than I already have to even be on Ratio Watch, let alone have my account deleted.

I started scanning through the lists for stuff I've been looking for for a long time. The Happy Dance started moving through me. I love Oink.

uTorrent gives me too many problems and slows down my computer too much for me to try and fuck with anywhere that needs a good ratio. My ratios with the zcult stuff are absolutely ridiculous, but that's only because of when I first got on. So for the time being I don't mind just taking Yak's dirtry slsk leftovers a couple days after something new drops.

Ken, how much experience do you have downloading torrents?

I've d/l'd several live shows via torrents. I usually get fed up with all the titles I really want not being currently seeded or getting stalled at like 25% or something. So I have a basic torrent knowledge, but I'm not a guru or anything like Shin.

You shouldn't have those problems with Oink. Place is nuts.

Oink is the one torrent place I've dealt with where you almost have the right to get mad if your torrent doesn't finish within 10 minutes, no matter how big it is.

Holzy, PM me your preferred email address.
That leaves 7 left after invites to Kool, Fuzz and Holzman. I'll be getting more as the months go by (you get 2 a month if you're a Power User like me) so this isn't final, just what I currently have.

I gave it a test run with just a song, and it downloaded super-fast. I've never seen anything like it, usually torrents take a while to get going but this was fast from the get-go. Thanks again shin! I think I'm going to upload something there just to see how it works. I've never uploaded a torrent before so I just have to figure out the procedure.

Kool, let me help you with the uploading process. If you have any questions, PM me on Oink, not here (I'm more likely to see it). If you don't need my help, at least make it abundantly clear on the upload that it's your first and if you made a mistake you're willing to fix it.
