I see a couple of people have beat you to it Ken and put up that S.Wonder box set, but lucky for you only in 192 and 320 mp3 format. Go for the Flac rip and rip those fuckers to shreds!  I can guarantee you within a day you'll have 2 GB back from Stevie. He's really popular there, the Flac rip of the 2 disc 'ultimate collection', has almost 100 snatches in just a few months. That's pretty impressive, considering it's a 1 GB file. And like NDY said, a pricey box set of a legend like Stevie is bound to do really well. Fuck, if I had that it would've been my first upload. Screw little mp3 albums, that's where the big money is. |

lol. Is that all they give you? I've thought about donating too, especially considering the amount of money I've saved on albums lately. I'll probably donate a few bucks when I revise my paypal account. I think I've still got an expired credit card there, I haven't used it in ages.
I gotta raid my sister's place and get some cheesy/pop titles to upload. I'm having no luck lately. I'm sure I'll get something back from the likes of Aguilera and her peers. I just gotta check first to see what's missing from oink. I'm giving myself till the end of next week to have 20GB uploaded stuff. I wanna start downloading like a madman without thinking about my bloody ratio.

2 or more simultaneous leeches isn't necessarily a good thing. The first night I put up Mellenhead's 1 GB file, I got 4 leeches all together, but when they were done they only left me with a ratio of about 1.1 on that, simply because they were leeching off one another too. It's better getting one full leech, then that leech fucking off, so you can get another full upload on your file.

I've now uploaded better than seven and a half GBs on Oink. My ratio is up to right about 64%. I've had real good luck with some kind of odd things I'd d/l'ded, actually. A Westerberg live set has uploaded more than 220 MB since I pulled it down earlier this week, and a couple of Zevon albums have put up better than 200 MB on their own, and a Phil Spector Box Set that I pulled down has more than earned back its 200 MB+. Now that I've got Azureus running 24/7, I'm not having any problem with putting up at least as much as I take down. That said, Kool, why don't you shoot me at least some of those Split Enz remasters? I'll be glad to hook you up with anything I've pulled down in return. |

I'll upload you the Split Enz stuff early next week. I'd do it over the weekend but I've got seeding/downloading to do. You'll see that on weekends is when most people download, just last weekend alone I got 2 GBs on my ratio. Besides, the tracklist on one of the Split Enz albums (Frenzy) is all screwed up so I'm waiting on the uploader to PM me the correct tags, so I have to fix that first. I just PM'd him, I didn't want to be one of those downloaders who bitches in the comments section. It's more than enough that we're getting this stuff free to begin with. |

That reminds me, Ken, I need a favour from you. Remember when you sent me the Finn Bros Everyone is Here? Did you buy those mp4 files online or do you have the actual CD? If you've got the CD, could you rip and upload a 320kbps version of it over at oink? I'd be more than willing to snatch it from you. There's only a 192 rip there, that's not even being seeded. I converted the files you had sent me then to mp3s but I hear some cracks and pops in a couple of songs. Don't YSI it, I can afford to leech with the ratio I've got there now. That way I'll be helping you a little too. Two birds with one stone. |
