Man, I want to see a definitive Holzman list of rock bands he hates - I think that would be kinda funny.
I wonder who'd get top honors? Doors, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Pink Floyd??? Got a top ten bands you love to hate Holz?

This morning while walking to the bus stop, I walked past some guys doing some road work. Amazingly, that jackhammer replicated the guitar solo in "Stairway" note for note. I was impressed.

Pearl Jam's "Given To Fly" ripped off LZ's "Going To California" I thought it was kinda funny when PJ played a gig w/ Robert Plant a few years ago and right after Given To Fly they played Going to California - something like that -- my memory is a bit sketchy on that but I think it was at a House of Blues show from 2005. Yeah I remember hearing about that. In general though there have been so many bands whose lead singer are Eddie Vedder sound-alikes that I think PJ deserves a pass on this one. Its seems most likely that you have to be an original to have so many others ripping you off... |

This thread is total BS. It can be argued that almost any riff-rock band out there is influenced to some degree by Zeppelin. I'm pretty sure most rock bands would tell you the same.
