The first release was good, this one is far better. Two commentaries where the first I believe has none. The 1.5 hour "Shadowing the Third Man" documentary. A 1 one profile of Graham Greene. Plus all the bits and pieces from the first release are transfered here. I think the picture got a full remastering again which should be great as the previous release was rather good. I've only watched the extras so far so I can't compare the quality difference of them yet in the movie.

Was at Walmart and bought "29 Days Later" for $7.50. First DVD I bought since Spiderman 2. Everytime I attempted to rent it at BlockBusters it was all rented out.

^ Sick. Depraved. Unusually cruel depictions of torture. Fun times ^ If I were an empowered female of the uber-feminist persuasion, AUDITION would be my #1 Favorite Movie Of All Time. Poetic brilliance. Classic of Japanese extreme cinema. I don't have this actual version; but rather, some original Japanese version close-captioned. This british horror movie about a group of hot chicks who go caving and experience something horrifying down there. . . is one of the most well made horror movies to come out recently. I'm extra excited about the Unrated cut, here.

i haven't posted here forever, so i will try and remember everything i have bought... its been a bad few months for movie buying, unfortunately! nothing too exciting... particularly package wise. you guys always get these amazing sets.... unfortunately, they're hard to come by over here. - twin peaks: series one, part a and b of two. - lost highway - the departed (boring, no special anything edition) - 28 days later (which i hated when i first saw... have now fully appreciated it after seeing 28 weeks later) - frasier (it seems i'm perpetually buying this.. series five only just came out) - the simpsons (ditto) series six and seven - land of the dead - world trade center and united 93 (i like neither, but need them for my thesis. only just watched world trade center yesterday... didn't have the same reaction to it as united 93, which i became more emotionall invested in) - apocolaypse now (my third copy.. each one ends up going 'missing' once i lend it to someone) - the original king kong (needed it for a uni course on modernism in cinema) - the fountainhead (ditto) - sin city - storytelling (its been so hard to find this solondz film. no video store had it, no dvd store.. finallly... in the bargain bin at a music store. best find ever) - prizzi's honour - scarface -play it again sam (really loved this) - the purple rose of cairo - 8 1/2 - dog day afternoon (a great special edition set) - goodfellas - mean streets so, nothing too fascinating
