My vote went to the Clash. I like the VU and all, but I don't think they're all that - actually I find them to be a bit pompous and boring at times. WL/WH is almost unbearable for me to listen to, although I really dig the title track. I like self-titled and Loaded, and I kinda think that first album is WAY overrated. Plus, fucking Nico's voice sucks donkey ass.
The Clash however have a perfect album w/ London Calling, and not to mention a more profound and biting debut. AND, their sophomore albums kicks the ever living shit out of the VU's sophomore album.
