Man, that cover is crazy for some reason to me. I can't wait for that to drop either. I have loved much of what she has done.

For some reason I went right off PJ Harvey. Not because she's become bad or anything but I find it increasingly hard to listen to her.

She can be a bit of a challenging listen at times. I think she's crazy as all get out. That's probably why I'm attracted to her.

Oh man, I can't stand that kid that does Beirut. I really hate the singer songwriter, Sufjan Stevens indie pop thing right now.
I have the first Beirut and it's okay but my patience for that genre is waning.

I really hate Sufjan and ilk more than just about any trend in indie except maybe the girl group revival thing, but the gypsy/Balkan thing keeps me centered with Beirut. It's hard to find anyone mixing that type of music with contemporary styles where it doesn't sound too kitchy.

I think it's Brilliant! I haven't liked a filthy rock band that much since Royal Trux. I think those guys are geniuses and I believe that their new album "Good Bad Not Evil" so far is their defining moment. They are just really good.
I had a chance to listen to the new Les Savy Fav today and whew!, it's another great album from those guys. I just hope they finally get their due on this one. I'm glad that they are back.
