Bon Jovi's huge in Japan, I'm sure you'll get people saying the same thing here. Is it racist for me to say that I'd pick a Bon Jovi concert in Japan just so I could here however many thousand Japanese chanting "RU GIVE RUV A BAD NAME!"?

Dude, I'll gladly sing Bon Jovi with a Japanese accent for you - you shouldn't waste your opportunity on that.

No question:
I would pick whichever of the Pink Floyd THE WALL concerts was generally considered to be their "best", and checkit. Absolutely no question about this.

I'd like to rewind to 1970 and see the Who live at Leeds. Yeah, I've heard that was a pretty decent show.

My Dad saw The Who on that tour, though he's never been to England. I would probably choose one of The Allman Brothers Fillmore shows, I'd settle for pretty much any of Springsteen's marathon 75-78 shows. James Brown in the early seventies, pretty much any show.

Wow, your dad picked a great tour to catch the Who.
If we can get our hands on this time machine, I'll take DED, JAC and Dolly back to see the Boss in '78 or so. One of those shows that went on for three-plus hours, drenched in sweat and beer ... good times, good times.
Hell, we'll follow Bruce all up and down the east coast. Night after night after night ...

In deference to a couple more of my idols, time permitting I'd want to catch the 'mats c. '86 or '87 and the Jam c. 1981-ish. Probably right about the time that Sound Affects came out, but maybe just before that. I'd love to hear "Going Underground" and "Dreams of Children" live ...

This is a pretty cool thread - I mean so many greats to choose from!!!
You know I was thinking...although I'm not the biggest Bruce fan, it would've been amazing to see him circa 75-78ish...The energy and passion, and what seems to be pure love for music would have been a great thing to see.
Other shows I would've loved to see:
Pearl Jam's 10 year anniversary gig in Las Vegas October 2000.
Kinks in 1969 so I could hear the Arthur tracks live.
Jimi Hendrix live at Berkeley May 1970.
The Doors around 1968. Say what you will, but no one was doing the Morrison thing back then except the original.
Sleater Kinney's last gig in Portland 2006? Or was it early '07?
The Clash during the London Calling tour in 1979/80 at the height of their mighty powers.
Nirvana during the In Utero Tour - anywhere really, I just regret that I never saw them live.
The Rolling Stones 1969 Madison Square Garden - this is where Get Yer Ya Ya's Out is pulled from.
The Beatles in any mod pub England circa 1962/3
Raising Hell Tour 1986 featuring: The Beastie Boys, Run-DMC, Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, and Eric B and Rakim.
----
This is basically turning into a who I wish I could see topic for me so I'll stop. I could go on and on. I think it would be kinda cool to go back and see Beethoven and Mozart perform too. Duke Ellington and Miles Davis too.

Who the heck is 'Deadsy'?
An Allmans offshoot? Like Warren Haynes and Butch Trucks don't have enough of that covered...
