Yeah, different versions, and a lot of the later singles and B-sides are on there, including the mighty "Half A Person" and "Rubber Ring"... as well as "Sheila Take A Bow", "London", "Sweet and Tender Hooligan", "Oscillate Wildly", "Panic", "Is It Really So Strange", "Shakespeare's Sister", "Unloveable", "Asleep", "Shoplifters of the world..." and "Ask". Essential for any Smiths collection worth its name.

Apparently Best Buy figured out that the latest Morrissey wasn't selling too well at the ridiculous $21.99, so they dropped the price tag about ten bucks and I picked it up. Not so bad, actually, as I figured that even if it sucked, I'd at least get to hear Irish Blood, Englsh Heart whenever I wanted to.

I'm really enjoying You Are The Quarry. Pleasantly surprised.

It gets a touch too cheesy in spots, but that's to be expected. Lot of great pop melody, though...I'm listening to the whole thing in one sitting for the first time, and yeah, it flows quite well.

You know what's going to happen, don't you? On the basis of all your reviews I'm going to end up buying You Are the Quarry only to be woefully disappointed by the Mozzer yet again.

It gets a touch too cheesy in spots Cheesiest moment of the album: I have forgiven Jesus For all the desire he placed in me When there's nothing I can do with this desireBut hey, what do you expect with the great Moz? I actually kind of like that tune anyway.

I dunno, I think "America Is Not The World" is filled with more cheese than Courtney Love's thighs.
But yeah, it's what you expect.
The title that made me fork out the cash, though, was "The World is Full of Crashing Bores." I saw that title and said, "hey, now that's some quality Morrissey."

And it has the gate crashing "You Know I Couldn't Last"(which I think sounds very close to REM's "Strange Curencies")I keep waiting for a broadway themed video to show up with pyro Tks for the info on Louder I thought maybe it was just the Us re-sale of "Hollow"(collection not complete )

Yeah, "America Is Not The World" might be the worst song I've added this year to my own CD collection.
Has drum cracked and bought this yet?

It's coming. He just needs the go ahead from his wife.
Apparently he's not as sneaky as I am, whereby you simply engage in deficit spending to cover music needs of the household, but without full disclosure to other household participants.

Well guys, you'll be happy to hear that J. has prevailed on me and I do have the new Morrissey now. Not over the moon about it ("America is Not the World" is quite dreadful) but there are a couple things on it that caught my ear and, yes JLLM, I would say it is better than his last record.

Morrissey OCT 22 2004 Atlanta Ga(Tabernacle)
An old church couldn't have been a better setting for Pop music's greatest drama King and before the show he signed every piece of memorabila anybody put in front of him ,joked about buying the White House, and even allowed a commoner like myself to ask such pointed ? like (we talked for about 5 min)
"What's your attitude to young fans who only have heard The Smiths albums who show up with signs tonight"
"What New Music are you listening to now"
and Since YATQ how has this tour changed your outlook on American Audiences?
It's a privledge to interview him but an real Honor to see his show and realize what makes him such an Icon it's simple
He Connects with the people who Pay to See Him Perform and music most would believe makes you sad, make the majority so overjoyed
He Opened the show with "Atlanta we are up your ASS" as the guitars began humming the open to "How Soon Is Now" people lost their minds
He took off his shirt 3 times and threw it to the crowd and had fans jumping on stage for hugs most of the set
other highlights -"This is not Bush Country is it? Please Vote ANYBODY is better than him even Me" -This Next Song is called "Hot Dog" ...(Pause serious face) "No it's really called "I Like You" -Talking to people in the front row asking "Are You Enjoying The Show"? -In Respose to a Fan Yelling for "Panic" "No Sorry You Weren't here when we wrote down Tonight's Setlist unless you want to play it yourself"
Setlist
How Soon Is Now First of the Gang To Die Novemebr Spawned a Monster I Like You Bigmouth Strikes Again Such A Little Thing Makes Such A Big Difference I Have Forgiven Jesus Everyday is Like Sunday Now My Heart is Full Shoplifters of the World Unite Irish Blood,English Heart The More You Ignore Me The Closer I Get Let Me Kiss You Rubber Ring The World is Full of Crashing Bores Last Night I Dreamed Someone Loved Me
Encore(Big Dramantic Finish) You Know I Couldn't Last There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
One of the best shows I've seen this year/great setlist/a chance to meet a legend/even my girlfriend agreed that it was a diverse mix of people(gay/goth/hot young women/aging hipsters/a few teenagers)
More than just a another live show, this was my first chance to see Smiths' songs live, and understand why his music means so much to people one of the best ways to begin a romantic evening
