rocky, please remember all of us little people as a form of inspiritation when you hit the big time!!......
well straw, your lucid, well-thought-out, cogent rationale for placing London Calling behind the first two releases is completely off the mark....ah, fooled you!.....well, I did buy LC in jan of 1980 partially based on "hoodwink" press, but I really knew very little about them or the LP, so I'm with Mary in that I was not hoodwinked.......shortly therafter I did buy their first 2 LP's and though I liked selected works, they must lacked the versatility and maturing of LC......
So, Straw..as Mary said, your taste in punk is impeccable, but I think we finally found a blind spot!!!!

Summer Feeling Song- Underworld"Born Slippy" it's played at just about every summer party I can remember since high school Favorite Air Guitar- Interpol "Pda" always when driving Overated RS board album- Dr. Dre-The Chronic(I've explained this many times good but not classic material) William Hung final song- Don't know why but the first song I thought of was Snow"Informer" Bathroom Song- Usually whaterver I've been listening to before today was Pretty Girls Make Graves "This Is Our Emergency" Ultimate Sex Song- Entire Sigur Ros albums usually work best but one song I'll say Bjork "Hyperballand right now the choice would be Air "Run" Song to be buried to- back to back I want Moby-"God Moving over the face of the Water" Afgahn Whigs-Crime Scene Pt1

WHat a great questionairre! Thanks maarts...and, uh, I hope this board isn't dead now that I've discovered it.
* Which song/piece of music do you recollect very vividly from your youth? Coal Miner's Daughter -- Loretta Lynn
* Which song always puts you in a good mood when you hear it? Do Ya Love Me? -- The Countours
* Which song brings you closest to tears? When the Roses Bloom Again -- Wilco (and many others. It's usually easy for me to get kind of teary)
* What song you don't want to hear ever again? anything by that fucking Twista. I actually lilke a lot of really questionably bad rap, but he's plain painful.
* Which song do you associate with the ultimate summer feeling? My Girl by The Temptations
* Favourite airguitar-song? Even air-drums or air-keyboard....?? ?? ?
* What song/album which generally is being lauded on the RS-Boards is in your view highly overrated? I got a copy of Joy Division's Unkown Pleasures, been collecting dust over 2 years now...
* William Hung's in the final of American Idol- which song would you want him to sing? The French alphabet
* What song do you always sing in the bathroom? Show tunes and Neko Case. sometimes hymns. i usually don't get to sing anywhere except the shower these days.
* The ultimate song to have sex to is....? I say Interpol or else another vote for Massive Attack.
* The song that should be played when you are being buried/cremated and represents your life completely....
Bali H'ai from South Pacific, but a concert version by Peggy Lee. It's just about the call of the island winds and waters to the lovers, like the call of the Sirens. anyway, it almost makes you feel like when you die you become part of the sky and ocean and sun and clouds...and that your spirit calls out through the elements. Anyway, it's a lovely thought even if I am stretching it, and perfect for a wake just before having ones ashes tossed off a mountain or whatever.

I dunno why, I just love Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode...
My friends and were at a fair one day when we came along a Christian stall, selling pictures and statues of Jesus... we just HAD to muse, "ya know, we could all buy our own personal Jesus here..."
I know, a lame joke, but come on, it was irresistible... it really did happen though!!!

I always knew they were singing for me. Millions like me, yeah. But me.
Actually got a bit of a dilemma going on.. AIC and Mad Season have been my favourite bands for years. Now that I'm trying to pull myself out of my depression I really can't listen to AIC without it taking me back to that dark place. But I can't just leave them! Sigh.
My course of action has been finding as many new bands as possible, hoping some of them will fill the void and become my new favourite, and a favourite that will be GOOD for me.
