Especially if Moore prefaced the scene by inviting the audience to "think back to the moment you found out about the attack. Revisit those feelings, and then watch how our leader, the man who might very well be in charge should we be attacked again, responded...and then ask yourself if you would wait as long as he does to do something about the worst attack this nation has ever encountered."
In the comic book world in which you apparently live, he'd be called President BushOtron and he'd be fielding minimum 50 security images(shown in multiple panels in the strip of course), simultaneously listening to and interpreting real time worldwide multilingual terrorist 'chatter' and integrating all this information to a decisive and effctive plan of action within what, 30 seconds?

Well, I for one, AT the moment of the second impact, was NOT clear on ANYthing that had just happened or where it had come from....I was simply FLOORED that someone had the balls to choose to hurt the U.S. that way. And I'd had the radio on while going to the health club after having had my wife call me back into the house saying 'You gotta see what just happened in New York'....I actually HAD information being fed to me.
Bush had a few words whispered into his ear...and of what sort of urgency and detail? It's been detailed elsewhere I'm sure...but right then he hadn't the visual which ½ the country ALREADY had or the fumbling around(and eventually arriving at the proper alarm) which the local news stations had gone through.
NONE of us were jumping up screaming 'DO SOMETHING!' cos NO-ONE quite knew what was happening!
And you would wish for the President to run around in circles?

Perhaps to the idiots who still believe that Sodom was the brain directing 9/11, or the ones who think that Israel warned its worker nationals at the WTCs to skip work that day.....or one of the many misconceptions(of lesser degree of cluelessness) that Melon cited a few posts back as example of what people WILL believe...or will want to believe...
