i skimmed it quickly, and i can't figure out the 2 things that are supposed to be so hilarious. i figure it must be Shin up to his old partisan ways again. he spends all his time fighting guerrilla partisan battles, and neglecting wisdom.
oh well, i tried once...

One would imagine that if you're going to take a candidate to task for fubbing on names and locations, you shouldn't make two outrageously bad errors yourself, especially when you're making one in YOUR correction.

Haha That's a funny cartoon...but people need to realize that these guys are more organized than that. They are the same guys who made the ads in 2000 saying that Mccain was traiter while he was a POW and implied that he had an illeagimate black child. Disgusting and disgraceful. Even though Bush isn't offically endorsing these ads, he isn't coming out against them either which is pretty much the same thing...but it's still good to see they aren't getting away with it this time...exactly...I mean no one is stopping them but it's being shown that these men are lying.

DED, just out of curiosity, how do you feel about MoveOn.org, George Sorors, et al? As I've said previously, i could give a rats ass whether or not John Kerry's Vietnam service is what he makes it out to be or not. It's simply not an issue that means enough to me either way to sway my vote. So what the swift boat group says about him is equally unimportant to me. But it seems to me that a lot of people (I'm not lumping you into this group ... that's why I asked your thoughts on Soros) who are dismissing this group as unreliable, primarily because of their source of money, look at MoveOn, and the other similiair liberal groups and say "See, they said it, it must be true". If we're going to dismiss one, shouldn't we dismiss all of them?

Moveon.org has, to my knowledge, never blatantly lied...they get a bit speculaltive sometimes, but they don't out right lie. If they can be shown to be false they should be pulled. None of these men actually served with Kerry, though all of them claim they did...acouple of them may not have even been in Vietnam at the same time as Kerry... it lies, pull it. If any ads from Moveon can be proven false then we pull it. I know Moveon has similar "real people" ads but they are all real people giving real OPINIONS not claiming "facts" that simply aren't. |

I've agreed with you, it doesn't make that much difference to me either. It does matter to alot of people though especially when thinking about electing a war time president. |

I guess that you and I just have a different definition of what a blatant lie is. Looking at the swift boat claims, and Kerry's Vietnam claims, and even the fact check rundown of the claims, it seems to me that it's a GREAT example of the old notion that there are three sides to every story -- yours, mine and the truth. Given that I was not in Vietnam, I have no way of knowing which story is the truth, so who am I to decide what a "blatant" lie is in this story?
