Explore the sentiments of "love", "compassion", "forgiveness", and, yes, "turning your hot little cheeks to the enemy", and see how far that gets you down your alleged path of pursuing the true life of a Christian. You and me are the same. Chrisfan and I are the same. We merely use different terminology to get across nearly identical concepts. In any case, yeah, I'm sickened by the entire Schiavo case. And I can see how everyone, kMc, Pissin, Chrisfan, you, myself, Bill O'Reilly, Mel Gibson, I can see how everyone has their share of valid points. Let us not allow Terri's Legacy to divide us further. Stratman has become a Christian? Great news! Let's see if I can get this in before the convo gets more ridiculous than it already is (re: the "censoring" of pissin's quote...it's not the avatar, btw, that's been removed). I, personally, don't find it offensive in the least that someone like pissin would choose to represent himself with the term "Hail Satan". That's his thing...although ifn' you ask me it sure looks more like pissin is just once again giving it all he's got in an attempt to offend as many as he possibly can FOR THE SAKE OF OFFENDING, just because it's his nature to get a kick out of doing so. When I use the words "Solo Deo Gloria" beneath my avatar, you know I'm sincere, and that it comes from the heart, that it's my attempt at an HONEST representation of something I'd like to associate myself with, something I believe, whatever. With Pissin...well, who knows...maybe he is a dyed-in-the-wool Satanist who attends black masses regularly and quotes Crowley and LaVey to anyone who is stupid enough to listen to that drivel. I somehow doubt it. It's nothing but an attempt to offend, and apparently it worked, seeing as how strat-0 has deleted it. If I were the administrator, I would have left it up, because it's a nice big red flag that says "DON'T TAKE ME SERIOUSLY"...as if anyone who has been in this community long enough to have witnessed Pissin's general methods would actually NEED such a red flag. Surely you've paid closer attention to his posts than to think that he has aligned himself with the belief system of us Christians? Or are you one of these people who thinks that all Christians are republicans and all republicans are Christians? Wouldn't the actual pentagram itself be just as offensive as saying HAIL SATAN? Yes, they are both offensive to those of us who recognize Satan as the enemy. If you were a Christian I would have a serious problem with you putting crap like that out there. But you're not. So express yourself. I don't see why anyone else would care one way or the other. But you sort of validate my point above with this post...my point being that you're only motivation in putting it up was to get a negative reaction to feed on. Trust me, I understand it better than you know. That was my stock in trade most of my tenure at the RS.com boards. Gotta love how attacking Pissin in that manner ends up being so DE-constructive, that it amounts to More Of The Same Shit Stirring, just feeds the vicious cycle of mistrust, fear, and loathing each side of this political spectrum harbors for each other. Just have to point out that I think it's ludicrous to equate the removal of a slogan by a board's administrator FOR ANY REASON with an ATTACK on the person who put it up. PLEASE. My grandmother's dying of Alzheimer's. Her brother is now currently trying to steal their late father's trust fund for the family (he was a very very successful and 'famous' stock broker) basically for himself. He's had his cronies and friends set up fake companies for him to "invest" the fund's money into, which will eventually end up in his pocket, just to name one of the loathesome things he's been doing.
And you know, it's sort of scary to know that if he's barred from the room during her final moments, my family is going to be judged as immoral by people who've never even met them.
