Well. They had Dre and Suge in the same building. What a bunch of fucking morons.
Some guy walked up to Dre, asked him for an autograph, and then punched him in the face. Then all hell broke loose. It was pretty obvious that the kid was set up to punch Dre, it's just a question of whodunnit.
All those old guys have mellowed out considerably and really aren't that violent anymore. It's just the young jackasses and the upstarts who really bring shit anymore, and they don't do nearly as good a job at it as their predecessors. I can remember when a new rapper from the West or South was getting shot up every month or so. These days the music is so bland and devoid of substance that it can't even inspire violence, much less anything of value.

I don't think it has anything to do with how much money they have.

Boasting, taunting and threatening violence are to rap what sex & drugs are to rock 'n' roll. What happened at the Vibe awards is not only "to be expected", it's the kind of thing that lends an air of authenticity to the things that rap is supposed to be all about. And surfnazi is correct that anytime you put Dr Dre and Suge Knight within a one mile radius of each other there's bound to be some brawlin'. It's not the first time violence has erupted at a rap music awards show, and I guarantee it will not be the last.

So basically what you’re saying is its still all about the old east /west rivalry. That and so called street cred or as I like to call it, dumb fuck conformation.

And then some. Looked like WWF. Chair bashing, stabbing (non fatal at least I think) & Dr Dre ass & elbows deep in it. But, back to the point………. If you’ve achieved fame/financial success, why keep bringing it? Is it just old habits dying hard or more? Why keep bringing it? Because you can take the boy out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the boy. Throwing large sums of cash at someone isn't going to make them a good citizen. Most of these guys were punks that made a shitload of money. With all the violence they advocate in their music, it's not surprising when the chickens come home to roost.

stratman, I chose not to comment on your death penalty post, because you chose to bring abortion into the discussion, instead of addressing the death penalty head on, which I thought was a copout, as well as extremely manipulative. You had an agenda in posting the partial birth pics, whether you own up to it or not. Why I even bother replying to any of your posts is beyond me, but in this case it's to defend myself. I thought I did address the death penalty head on, as the whole first part of my post was on exactly that. Cop out my ass. I have no fucking agenda when it comes to abortion, I said a hundred fucking times that I support keeping it safe and legal. Why you're so sensitive about this is curious. I was trying to illustrate that we can all be hypocrites to varying degrees when our own beliefs clash with real life. They don't always fit into a nice neat box. Besides abortion, I also used several other examples to try and illustrate my point. You didn't seem to feel the need to mention those though. Oh well, that comes as no surprise to me. Apparently, hypocrisy is just fine as long as you are the one practicing it. Do yourself a favor, and just refrain from reading my posts.

Do any of you know of a good way to stream Air America off the internet? I usually listen to Sean Hannity in the afternoon, but he's really starting to bore me. I decided that Air America may be a good alternative. But they dont' have a station her, so it'd have to be via the web. I tried clicking "listen live" on their website, but couldn't make it work.

I got it to work Chris. When you click on the 'Listen Live' link then you have to click on RealOne or Windows Media. On the next screen, choose your listening format. It takes several seconds to buffer, but I got it to work just fine.

I'll try again some time. I waited for it to connect for about 10 minutes, and it never did.

I just tried again, both with WinMedia and RealOne, and neither would connect. I guess I'm just not meant to be brought over to the dark side by Al Franken. Oh well.

At least i was able to make the "Give Bush a Brain" game work. I like it. It's kind of like Kaboom, only slower paced.

I'm splitting my attention between her and Brit Hume. I should really be paying more attention to Special Report!

I"m determined to get Air America to work today. I wonder if I can get it playing on my computer, and leave Laura Ingraham on my radio. It could be a good dueling audio.
