That post had too many words.
The banning has nothing to do with comics and everything to do with the fact that kenny is black.
Racists.
But it's funny thing you brought up the board bombers of RS, who, ARE STILL FUCKING ALLOWED TO POST HERE. While kenny is not. Makes perfect sense.

I've admitted all of that. It was obnoxious. When chrisfan started her new thread nobody said "no, need to do that we'll just start banning over here" instead her board stood and people posted and discussed over there. I understand it was started in protest but she didn't delete it when we talked about Bolton and drugs over here and when the comic stuff stopped posting continued on both threads. I don't think it was out line to think that solved the problem. I assumed the problem was solved. I'm sorry I didn't realise the depth of your symbolic gesture...I sure as hell agree this is all getting really ridiculous.

BTW, Kenny has apparantly checked back in. I'm not inclined to do anything about it at this point. Perhaps as DED says, he misunderstood. Benefit of the doubt. Not so Pissin. I told him straight up, several times.

On another note, what a miraculous turn of events with the plane in Toronto! Nice to have something bad turn out good for a change. It made me remember Les Nesmin's famous headline on WKRP, "No one killed in dam disaster."

Oh and Jac, no offense taken by the deleting of the post. It probably wasn't that appropriate for this thread really. I was just trying to make a point.

It made me remember Les Nesmin's famous headline on WKRP, "No one killed in dam disaster." You're right on that one! To me, it's always refreshing with a story like that to realize that we can be as cynical as we want to be - we can lament the self-centeredness of people, and the rivalries between people, etc. But when disasters like that happen, people by nature rise to the occasion, help each other out, and do what needs to be done. It also made me giggle just how many "Do YOU know what to do in a plane crash" stories there were on the news the next day!

Someone, as far as anybody has been able to ascertain, it was her boyfriend Vibe who was a bomber. He has been banned; she was banned for some time because they shared a network. She has not caused any problems since, and he has not been back that we know of.

Actually vibe was never a bomber. Too bad the old rs boards are unavailable and one could go see what vibe's posts were mostly about. The only person that would be familar with his posts over about a 6 year period might be Chrisfan.
But it really doesn't matter to me that you feel this way strato. So no biggy.
We have never shared a network actually. But we soon will be sharing one.

I like to pick and choose the spots where I need to be serious on these boards and when it's okay to have funny time, and sometimes I confuse the two, but the last few pages represent some of the best comedy i've read in years. Seriously.
People are throwing the word "perspective" around quite a bit, but this stuff is just really really fucking funny man.
The comic book stuff was absolute gold, then over done. Maybe people deserve to be banned, maybe not. Maybe people need to lighten up, maybe not.
I'm sorry gang. I have 50 things to worry about in a standard 20 second span of my life at any given time and most of this stuff doesn't crack the top 200. I've already used a larger character count than intended for this post.
I'll be around to see what Doc Drum and Maarts are listening to, but other than that, later and thanks for the laughs.

Sure...Grand old time with everyone agreeing with each other. Not a lot of legitimate debate, though. Here I disagree. Right vs Left is no "debate" - it is debauchary. Whereas Left vs Left (or Right vs Right I imagine) there is ample room for fine-tuning, and constructive debating. Just cuz you share the same side of the political spectrum most certainly does not mean you agree on everything.

Sorry if that synopsis is inacurate in some ways, NF, it's just a close as I and others remember it or can figure it. That's what Someone seems to think, at any rate, but the point is really moot.
I guess it was more precisely a shared IP then - the point is that he DID try to cause trouble here, and he has not been welcomed back.

Consider this - - there was a time when we were all on the same side, more or less. (In American history...& I'm sure it can be applied across the board, largely)
(There was not such a distinction seperating "right" from "left")
And I believe there is still room for the argument that we are still more or less on the same page -- that is, Righties and Lefties -- only, each would never admit it to themselves.
It's all a matter of varying perspectives.
~
Also - - I find it amusing that some here can agree about this being "just a board" and use that in their own defense, when in fact that same argument can be legitimately turned against their very cause. Cuz after all - - it IS just a fackin board.
Everybody lighten up why don't you and pretend like nothin happened. sheesh

I guess it was more precisely a shared IP then - the point is that he DID try to cause trouble here, and he has not been welcomed back. He does indeed have a very "different" sense of humor. And he tends to not take message boards that seriously. Other than that I don't personally feel he was out to seriously harm anyone or "cause" trouble. And again, this is no big deal to me. Just my opinion and thoughts. Its not that big a deal to him either, his time is very tight these days and so is mine so its just as well.
