This past week, I've played: Weakerthans - Reconstruction Site No Use For a Name - Keep Them Confused Chixdiggit - Pink Razors
more than any others. Like 'em a lot. Next week, there's a new Propagandhi cd out, wooo-hooo.

The only ones I've listened to more than once in the past week:
The White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan Same Cooke - The Best of Sam Cooke Plus a BitTorrent of a live Blanche show from June

I'm going to check the bookstore for that fucking thing today...if they don't have it, I'm probably going to just downoad it, because I hate fucking with ordering CDs in the mail anymore. But I really, really want it.
Don't listen to anything here at work, which sucks because I do a lot of design and I get my best inspiration from music. When I interned at the public access station with all those hippies last year and got to listen to all kinds of cool music, I got tons of shit done.
On the way here, though, I listened to Metric.

I got a part-time weekend job at Best Buy for some Christmas cash/tuition money, and I must say, their pushing the hell out of the new Metric over there. I hear "Monster Hospital" a couple times every hour.
Cool thing about that place, though, is that they have all these computers with incredible speakers and near unlimited access to Rhapsody, so not only can you play anything you want, you can BLAST it.

Songs Of Green Pheasant. Yakked on about it on Whaddayalizzen2, so see there if you care... but I'm just totally hooked on this lo-fi-classic!
Also loads of mash-ups that I've downloaded. Great stuff to work to.

Whe you start work and the new Darkness comes out, I expect you'll have every computer blasting their shit simultaneously.

Oh yeah, Best Buy is gonna be rockin' the Darkness on my shifts, for sure.
I can't get into the whole mash-up thing. Anything I should go out of my way to change my mind for, maarts?

I don't know, luke, I like the variety of well-known songs being spliced up and put together again-as I said, it's good work music. I'm sure for others it's like a slight variety in their daily radio fodder. There's one download of a full-hour radio mix which was pretty good- I'll find the link and post it next time I'm around! That guy used a lot of 60s and 70s-music and didn't take the most obvious samples.

I have every White Stripes cd and a live bootleg......but I don't have Get Behind Me Satan yet. I don't know why that is.
Been playing Your Country by Graham Parker a lot lately and Something for Kate - Echolalia

I find myself putting in The Bends, Kid A, A Ghost is Born, and I Can Hear the Heart Beating As One much more than any other albums as of late.
