I'll get out, then. I didn't expect to be so swamped with stuff this year, but fantasy ball is a complete afterthought at this point. Sorry, dude.

Oh! So we can include things which just happened to happen while the guy was in office? Oh look. There's Clinton actually being involved in all five things. I guess he may have had some influence on the outcome of said events. Looked for Bush and Berry together at the Oscars. Didn't find any. Can you help me find some?

Rocky, I was half joking on many of my answers. That was one of them. But that was the least funny thing on the list. Sorry.

Come on now, Bush had a Haitian intervention, too. Just cause his was a coup against the elected Haitian government is no reason to fault him. You know, the irony of the Bush campaign's image of Kerry on national security issues sticking is that for reasons of domestic political positioning and I think, personal temperment, Kerry would have been every bit as much of a hawk as Bush. Though whether he'd have been any more successful on Iraq is debatable since he'd have inherited the same losing hand Bush is stuck with now. Re: China, US foreign policy, etc. etc. check this out: www.pkarchive.org/column/072205.htmlOn Miers, yeah, she's finished but I agree with that piece Rocky posted that it would be out of character for Bush to withdraw the nomination. I expect he'll force Republicans who oppose Meirs to bring her down. Not something that helps the White House but I'm guessing with Plame indictments coming any time now, that's very shortly going to seem like the least of their worries.

Another option is that Bush may privately ask her to withdraw.

If this was a year ago, according to current polls, GW wouldn't have had much of a chance. Hindsight is always 20/20. And polls aren't worth much besides the debate they sometimes cause. But it's good to see that there is a threshold of incompetence, even in America. www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/10/25/poll.bush/index.html

Of course, the biggest problem with polls like that is always that you've got a specific person running agianst an unknown entity. Even if you're imagining it as "Bush vs Kerry, one year later" ... John Kerry has been out of the campaign-level spotlight for a year now. Hindsight makes you look fonder at the things you've forgotten. The people answering to that poll have heard all sorts of negative things about Bush which are on their mind. They have not heard all sorts of negative things about Kerry or any other "oponent" during that same period of time.

Ok, so the question was answered as to why Bush should have been re-elected: the Chinese and tax policy. Stellar accomplishments abound. Now let's move this thread into a new direction. What is the answer to the following question:
