One thing that is infinite to me and that is God and his word, the Bible. No matter who you are and how "learned" you become, one can still learn something new every time you read it. And I don't mean just different parts of it, I am talking about in the sense of the same paragraph, chapter ect... every time you re-read something, be it the 100th time, there is new information, lessons, and enlightenment that pops out of those pages. That along with God's love and grace......it is astounding. I have seen him at work in my life many many times.
And I have felt that precocious Shekinah glory on more than one occasion......there are no words that can describe this.....the only thing that is close to it would be an awake out of body experience with the warmth and complete calm as never before.

Well what I am talking about indeed does make you weak in the knees. It feels like something rushing through your veins and much like a wisping as though something (the spirit) is actually running right through you. A feeling of being in another much higher dimension. Leaving you breathless and with the most incredible peace of mind and calmness. I never thought something like this was truly possible, until it happened to me.

JAC, i think Layla respected your stance through all that (though she clearly doesn't believe a word you say on faith) so no need to feel slighted in the aftermath. kMc was talking about Layla vs Tuatha. I do, too (feel that Layla respected my "stance" throughout) and for that I was quite grateful. I figured that kMc was talking about the Layla vs. Tuatha bout...but I was still somewhat distressed by the "us vs. them" aspect that his post encouraged. It's hard enough to discuss such weighty issues (of deeply held beliefs and opinions on both sides) and to do so in a manner respectful of differing viewpoints without someone coming along and making it out to be something other than an honest conversation (NOT saying that the unfortunate animosity between Layla and Tuatha has remained within the boundaries of "honest conversation"...but then again, you'll note that I assumed he was NOT speaking of the discussion between Layla and myself, and furthermore I do NOT feel "slighted in the aftermath"). I'm proud of you, babe....give me a fuckin' break. That's all. JAC, its ok. Ken is proud of me because I'm killer in the sack, is all. He respects me for my body and not for my mind. That bastard.

I feel the need to remark on how Layla's "stupid people keep breeding" quote...she meant that stupidity breeds stupidity. It had nothing whatsoever to do with handicap children. Closed mindedness breeds ignorance, you want proof? Spend alittle time with Prussian Blue (http://www.prussianblue.net/)...nothing what ever to do with genetics or intelligence. Hopefully nature saw fit to render these two little Hitlerettes completely sterile. I also hope their parents get really shitty tax returns. REALLY shitty ones. In fact, I hope they get audited! And yeah, that is what I meant with that comment, although Jac did bring up a valid point.

One bowl of porridge was too cold, one was too hot, but one was just right. THAT is wisdom, right there. It achieves optimum efficiency only by being just so; neither too much, nor too little. BUt right on the money. That is not "infinite"; that is balance. I believe that finity is a far more valid concept than infinity. And I believe infinity to be the crutch which has leached out all the muscular power from our intellects. (We now depend on this concept as if it were very real. We seldom question the validity of it, for instance. And so we're doomed to spin in endless cycles . . .treading the waters of ignorance, and getting nowhere. Ironic, huh?) I get what you're saying re 'balance'. A lot of psych research is quite good in pointing out that moderate levels of arousal and motivation result in optimum performance - so I can apply that idea to knowledge & it works. Very good. But I do truly think knowledge, wisdom, whatever, is without bounds. We will probably never know everything. Maybe because so much of what we know is restricted by man-made concepts (like 'infinity'). I believe I'm well qualified to understand you there Thornwolf *coughs up a lung*
