Yeah, those pictures confirm my thoughts that the reaction was probably to it being a large tacky display as opposed to a vicious attack on religion.

I see santa plain as day. There is also something further back a little thing near the porch. The entire lawn doesn't appear to be in the picture though.

Yes and that was my point earlier about the attempt of taking 'Christ' out of Christmas. And denying freedom of religion or religious symbols. You were wrong then and you're still wrong now.

Right, but Santa is part of the Christmas display. Where is Minnie Mouse? Where is Winnie the Pooh? You're right though, there's only, I don't know, 85% or so of the lawn in that picture. I'm pretty sure that the other 15% has a 45 foot tall Winnie the Pooh statue. Or, it could just be a section of grass near the driveway. I'm going to head back to Detroit on Tuesday. Maybe I'll take a drive by there and take some pictures and see if we can find Winnie the Pooh. Something near the porch...but you can't tell what it is...because of the giant Christmas display. That's exactly my point. They wouldn't ask them to remove something they can't even see. Plus, I have no idea what thing by the porch you're talking about.

You should seek help for your current psychological denial.

Good argument. I'm going to take that to mean that you don't have a response to what I actually said though, and that's why you're resorting to attacking my personal psychological well being.

If you scroll down the page there is another small picture there, click that on and you will clearly see other lawn figures. 2 Santa thingys and a little thingy by the porch.

So it has nothing to do with the fact that it's a huge eyesore and that you can't actually see his lawn any more? That's like a lawn covering not mere decoration.

You could send that thing into redneck lawns or whatever they do on the Jeff Foxworthy show...

If you scroll down the page there is another small picture there, click that on and you will clearly see other lawn figures. 2 Santa thingys and a little thingy by the porch. Here are the things I see in that picture: 1) Nativity scene 2) Santa (part of the Christmas display) 3) Angel (part of the Christmas display) 4) Camel (part of the Christmas display) 5) Another Santa (part of the Christmas display) 6) Wise man (part of the Christmas display) 7) Two people that, if it weren't for the fact that the caption tells me that they're outraged, seem to be pretty at peace Where is Winnie the Pooh? Where is Minnie Mouse? If they're there, they are impossible to see because of the enormous Christmas display. And THAT IS WHY THEY DIDN'T ASK THEM TO REMOVE THEM. Because they aren't visible. They can't ask for the removal of something that they are completely oblivious to. Edit: There's something on the porch (can't tell what it is--kind of looks like another wiseman but its tough to tell) and something beneath the window that is completely impossible to identify, but sure doesn't look like Minnie or Winnie.

It is kind of hard to imagine that we are arguing about Winnie and Minnie, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

That family should have the right to put up that nativity scene, law or no law. But being forced to take it down doesn't mean it's a war against Christmas, it just means it's a stupid law...well actually I think a law against eyesores is a nice one but it's clearly unconstitutional, so there you go. HOWEVER...you want to know who's waging war on Christmas? America, you are owned.

Here, I'm going to put this up a few more times just in case Dee thinks she can pretend I didn't post it. How about a few more times, just for the sake of clarity? Did you know the GOP wants to take the Christ out of Christmas? No? Here, let me show you again. America. Fuck yeah.
