Neil Young was once a supporter of Reagan. In CSNY Young and Stills were considered to lean right, while Crosby and Nash were big time lefties. Stills had a military upbringing, but I never quite understood why Young was said to have right-leanings at that time. In fact it is only on certain issues. I like him so much becaase he is a lot like me. It depends on the issue, on some things he leans right, on others he leans left. He is not a prisoner to partisan ideologies. His Impeach the President song and his work with Farm Aid, along with songs like 'Southern Man' and 'Ohio' show his politics, but overall I thnk he considers both sides to any issue and tryes to see the othter cats point of view before coming down on the side of humanity...afterall even Richard Nixon had soul...
