Well, basically if that weren't the case, then Israel would be attacked by every other nation in the region immediately. In order to prevent that, we have to leave no doubt about what we would do if they were to do so.

I really, really, really wanted that O.J. book, and I'm pretty pissed it got cancelled. Complete censorhip by those assholes at Fox.
I could give a fuck about the interview, though.
O.J. comes out the winner in this. He still gets paid, and doesn't even have to worry about taking any shit for the book or interview.

O.J. is best continuing to be entirely ignored ...
In other news, strike another small victory for the War on Terror or the terrorists depending on which side the flipped coin lands ... !
Six imams ejected from US flight The imams deny reports that they refused to leave the flight
A key Islamic rights group is demanding an immediate inquiry after six Muslim imams were removed from a US flight. The six men were taken off the US Airways flight, bound to Phoenix from Minneapolis, after a passenger reported "suspicious activity" to cabin crew.
The men were told to disembark shortly after saying evening prayers. Three of the six had stood as they prayed.
The scholars, who were returning from a conference, allege they were handcuffed and "humiliated" during the ordeal.
They were questioned by police, they said, for several hours.
A spokeswoman for US Airways said concerns about the group had been raised by a passenger, who had passed a note to a flight attendant.
She added that police were called after the men refused to get off the flight when asked to do so by the captain and airport security workers.
The men deny that they refused to leave the plane and other reports that they chanted "Allah" while being escorted off, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
'Growing problem'
The advocacy group said it was determined to establish whether the incident was the result of "anti-Muslim hysteria by the passengers and/or the airline crew".
"Unfortunately, this is a growing problem of singling out Muslims or people perceived to be Muslim at airports," said CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper.
He also alleged that US Airways had refused to put the men on another flight after they were questioned.
According to CAIR, the men had been at a conference of the North American Imams' Federation, which had also been attended by Keith Ellison, a Minneapolis Democrat who has just become the first Muslim elected to Congress.

The only reason Fox pulled the show is because they got zero money from advertising. If you don't get any money from the advertisers, you are not in running for Nielson ratings, which will be zero and it will hurt your overall score for the year in comparison to the networks. Money, it's all about the money. Not to mention the fact that almost 3/4ths of the affiliates were not going to carry it anyway.

It wasn't censorship so much as it was the negative publicity that led Fox to reconsider the move. I don't blame them. O'Reilly would've galvanized the base against this, and the book would've undersold.

Luke ~ Don't worry !
That book will surface one way or the other in the very near future ...
Why anyone would want to read anything ghost-written for this man eludes me ...
But HÉ! Different strokes for different folks I guess ...

How are we, the public, supposed to judge O.J. without hearing his story? Fox has a responsibility to let us hear it.
Okay, that may be a stretch, but seriously, that interview better surface online soon. I wanna see it!
Oh, and O'Reilly did speak out againt it. In doing so, he even claimed that FoxNews and FoxBroadcasting are not affiliated with each other. That's some responsible journalism, there.

I have no problem with the interview biting the dust- obviously, there's the ad sales thing. The book would've sold, however, and there's no way that the ignorant illiterate fucks who listen to Bill O'Reilly could have hurt a publishing company.
O.J.'s not the first killer to come out and tell his story. I don't see anyone bitching about Henry Hill and/or Goodfellas. Same fucking thing.
People overreacted to this. O.J. is getting paid, we may as well get to read what he has to say. Sure, FOX will, in a way, be making money off of the deceased. Oh well, nothing TLC, the History Channel, A&E, and every other television station that airs serial killer documentaries or publishing houses that publish those books don't do all the time.
I've no problem with it, morally, I was just looking forward to a fun read that I'll now be denied because FOX pundits are douchebags who can't even get it right when it comes to their own damn company.

Seriously, this is not a confession as such. The book is written as a hypothetical...it has fictional character named Charlie....this is not the truth. He's not admitting to anything.

You'll still be able to read it, believe me it will find another publisher. If this were his apology I'd right there with you, if he were saying "here's what I did and I'm sorry for it" that'd be fantastic, but he's not. He's saying "I got away with it you dumb sons a bitches, now gimme some money for a half assed snuff story while I take a shit all over my family".
