Man the new SLIPKNOT fucking rules. Seriously -- I've got the album already & it is an amazing progression of their sound. Corey was right on to claim they were going to dabble in King Crimson / Pink Floyd influences, there is just a wicked variety of experimental percussive & jagged, liquid, flowing ebbing pulsing music on this disc. I would call it nothing short of a masterpiece. Get it, crank it, drown out the rest of the fucking world & get down with the (sic)ness!

Oh man, good thing I looked at this board, Scottsy's mentioning of Lateralus reminded me that my package from amazon.com should be here today. I bought a bunch of books but I also picked up another copy of Lateralus because the iraqi sand completely screwed it up. Disposition and Triad would play at all.

You know, you're right. I'm putting it in right now - jeez, it's been a good 8 or 9 months since I've been able to listen to the last 3 tracks of this album...my god.

It was instense, that's for sure. But I think I emerged on the other side with my sanity relatively intact. I had just about forgotten how much Triad reeks of awesomeness. Had they only ended the album right there, I could finish a whole listen and implode into complete mental serenity without having to get up and stop the player before the last track comes on...

HA HA! Maynard's not very prolific that way, I guess. Quality over quantity, I suppose.

Yeah Maynard just isn't Mr. Prolific writer isn't he? Its ok though, I'd rather him do stuff sporadically and make it GOOD than write shit and write it often.

There are a rare few songwriters who are pretty prolific and still come up with good stuff... I'd like to draw people's attention to Steve Kilbey of the Church at this point. :-)
A new Tool album would be an absolutely welcome thing, but i am prepared to wait until the band has something great to release, rather than pick up a sub - standard Tool album just because it was about time one was released.
