yes indeed, you did promise the Welch music...but it tis never too late!!!!..and I've been listening to some Welch era FM and that is still my favorite time period for Fleetwood Mac How big are your tits? Hey....didn't I promise you a few discs from Bob Welch's band PARIS??? gawd, I owe discs to everyone and can't even remember the last time I burned any. Over that, I have still to review some as well for Thunk and Wayved.... Hey, I'd still love to share 'em! Slip me a PM with your current addy and we'll see what happens. Yeah, Bob seems to get a bit slighted between the Pete & Lyndsey times at the helm but I'm with you that the band did some great stuff with him. Future Games remains as one of the best in my book that they ever did....just carries such a great organic sound/feel to it.

Bare Trees is like a dream to me now... Great stuff. I recall the old gal that does such a beautiful reading of the poem on the album. And the cover art. I've long since lost that one. Wonder if that record is still in print. I guess I could google it, eh?
No word from Riley or Drum at this point, Shane. I thought you might be in touch with those Canucks, buddy!

Here's a treat: It's All the Same, from the James Gang, circa 1971. When I was about 13, a far away brother told me to try out some James Gang - that you couldn't go wrong with any Joe Walsh. I came across this rather obscure record, "Thirds" in the bargain bin at the record store, and he was right. Loved this record! This record also has Walk Away and several other gems. About five years later - the album long since lost - I had learned to play guitar, and I picked this tune out from memory - it had made quite an impression on me.. Did very well by it, too - lyrics and all. I've never forgotten that song, nor my cover of it. Enjoy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3IK9GwRIF8

and I think bob Welch revisiited that song on his solo debut.. OK, quick story: my sis and I go to an all day concert Aug of 1975 at the now demolished Balboa Stadium in San Diego......it was rare to have these types of shows, but the following played: Rod Stewart (who was a HUGE star back then) Fleetwood Mac Loggins and Messina Lynrd Skynrd Tower of Power anyway, I was particularly excited to see FM and Welch, McVie etc....so much to my dismay there are two new members, that later I found out had last names of Buckingham and Nicks...and they were playing songs I never heard of (e.,g Rhiannon, etc.) from there just released eponymous titled LP...well, I was so bummed as I was expecting select songs from Future Games, Bare Trees, etc...... well, it wasn't long after that that incarnation of FM sold bi=zillions of albums!!! Oh, yeah - Bare Trees is everywhere! Nice listen at youtube... Amazon has the record in all three flavors... Forgot that I sussed out Sentimental Lady off that record so many, many years ago! Tks, guys!

PENGUIN is the only Mac that I never bothered with from that time.....what I've heard of it just took a left turn for me. (same goes with KILN HOUSE).
Strat: our good buddy Glenn here sent me THIRDS a while back!!

station man (off of kiln house) has SUCH a great serpentine main riff...i can't imagine you'd NOT love it, don. and there are a few others there.
sands of time is an absolute masterpiece, btw.

aaaah, it's the S.S. Howenstein's birthday today!
still plying the 7 seas, but via some different venues. long may he sail!
Happy Birthday, Steve!
~
strange to recall that he visited me here in 200-2001, just as i was outfitting the office which i'm now moving from - it's all disassembled much as it was the day he was here. full circle in about 10 years. ~ i'm moving to smaller digs...and in particular, smaller overhead.

geez jac, what's wrong? you okay?
i'm far from being self-absorbed enough to think you're martyring yourself over our blatant miscommunication. so what, not nowhere near the first time. simply your 'sport' like you've insisted. and it's obviously not because some ELSE told you you're w.r.o.n.g. because no-one else here ever does. even WHEN there were people here. so no, no martyrdom over anything that infinitesimally remote, certainly.
so yeah...i mean THAT would be stupid...so, i hope you're well. yeah.
