This is the thread where we comment about the banner ads that can be seen at the top of each page.
Sometimes those ads can be pretty funny - the ones in the talk like a pirate day thread were pretty hilarious. I also recall in the concept album thread once when someone posted a Def Leppard song, every ad on that page was Def Leppard related. Which is weird, because that was just one song of many others that were posted there. Perhaps Def Leppard have a higher appetite for Internet advertising than most?
Also, occasionally a website called "Japan Gig Guide" will be advertised. I always felt bad about that.

Oddly whilst reading Kenny's POTD and him quoting lines from a Sting-song (Fields Of Gold) there was a link to 'modern protest songs'.
Now that is comedy gold.
BTW what's with the incessant banners for real estate in north Cyprus? No one here ever mentions this goddamn island and real estate there tends to be like a wooden shack...so what's doing?

I like that the banner ads for this board seem to be for advertising companies (yellow pages, etc.). Sort of meta.

Man, why does the "Japan Gig Guide" ad keep coming back up on that top page? The only Japanese music I've talked about the past several days were Mayumi Kojima and Natsumen. Grrrrr.

Oh cool, I just found out from looking at that website that Yo La Tengo are coming over here. Maybe it's a pretty neat website after all.
Edit: Bah, both Tokyo shows are on weekdays. Damn you YLT. I've been meaning to get their new album, but I'm going to refrain from doing so to protest this.
