Hey I'm going to eventually want to get me a Samael album on vinyl -- if I can find such a thing -- and so I'd like to know, which do you think is the best one to start out with? My friend played one of their entire albums for us on our 8 - hr roadtrip to see Dream Theater opening for YES a coupla weeks ago, and it was pretty decent (& I can't remember which one it was!) I've heard a couple of their albums, and I know I'll want to get one eventually.
So where do I start?

But mind you this a little different than their earlier stuff. The early stuff is really growly and more raw. Where as their last two are more electronic, with keyboards ambient I guess is how you said it before, and stuff. I find it still very dark and hypnotic. But I do like all of their stuff that I have heard. |

I s'pose beggars can't be choosers -- I'll take any Samael that they happen to have on vinyl, regardless.
They didn't ever put out a 'crappy' album, did they-? (One to avoid on the 1st-purchase, that is)
