ohmigod, I love it when Jonathan starts singin (off hypocrites) "Pay the ferryman! pay the fucking driver! Pay the preachers and pay the fucking liars! I'm not gunna pay its already mine I'M GUNNA DO IT BLIND!!! HYPOCRITES!!" it is god damned AWEsum!!!! & then he's all " Little old lady at home Writing out a check to send It's all the money that she owns She believes the world might end
HOW YOU GONNA BE, WHAT YOU GONNA SAY IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME, WHO YOU GONNA PAY?
Pay the ferryman, pay the fucking driver Pay the preachers and pay the fucking liars
" etc One of the best songs of their career ~ ~ ~ then there's the SEX songs !! ! ! ! check out these lyrics, yo: Put your hand against your skin Rub it gently to begin You feel it? Can you feel it? When does pleasure become pain? When does sex become insane? You say yes As you feel it
When you cum (Be a good girl) Hold your breathe (Make it last long) It's a mess (And its gone) A little tickle
(Chorus:) So please When you die could you scream? Mercy Mercy for you and me Its true What they say, fuck it boy Love might be the last legal drug these lyrics are the best approximation . . .got em offline, which as every true korn fan knows, usually gets em wrong. I'll have to work @ deciphering jon's singing myself to find out the real dealPerhaps the best lyrics & song I've heard in a long blue lonely moon, a song whose time has cum!

BUT, (as usual w/our boyz), the lyrics divorced from the context of the music/melody/ infectious rhythms don't quite stand up as well. When you HEAR the song, then you'll know how damn hott it is

and I love it when Jon sings (on "Getting Off"):
"Licking your own skin, so trippy Squeezing your own ass, so pretty Suck the ways it's used for chilling? When you finally come so pretty... "
damn that shit is smokin. . . . the album is a musical ejaculation of pent up exasperation defining our natures as we see them ourselves, its a huge middle finger to all the dumb wiggers & its a psychedelic journey past the far side of industrial musical expressionism. . . an ecstatic release of erotic fury . . . a balm to the disease our peers on the jury have infected the world with . . . a savage slap on the chops to the ignorant & jaded, a furious love letter sent straight through our hearts with clever poison tipped darts . . . a manic depressive celebration of orgasmic devastation, See You On The Other Side once again Leaves Behind the rest of the world's bands, causing them to appear normal & mortal alongside the colossal force of primal joy truth and freedom that is korn.
People are puzzled about my devotion I say you're drowning in your own ocean But each to his own right that I can see I'll listen to koRn so just leave me be!!
I realized recently that SYOTOS is a concept album, someone on a message board declared it wasn't, but they missed the point: Korn's "concept" is REALITY (what a concept) and always has been, but THIS time, they've managed to artfully juxtapose the TRUTH behind JOn's burning words against a backdrop of CHILDHOOD FANTASIES, quite cleverly managing to erase the line between what seperates THEM from the brutal reality of this corrupted fucked up world.
In short, See You On The Other Side is a true Masterpiece in every sense of the word.

Thanks, Adam! I'm loving this teaser; I have a good feeling about this one. Can't believe they play "Never Forgive Me Never Forget Me" at the beginning of the teaser; that's one of the eeriest songs ever; my teenage cousin freaks and runs from the room whenever she hears it while we're playing SH3, hehe. There was a definite patient demon in that trailer. Here's hoping the women in white high-heels are zombie nurses... that's what a lot of people think, but I'm not sure, because they're walking so smoothly. That might even be creepier, however. And I saw PYRAMID HEAD ripping the shit out of something close to the end. YES! And the radio static... if they include the radio, I'll just be in heaven. I've always thought that was just brilliant in the games. When you're going down a long, dark hall and you hear that radio static, you know you'd better get your shit ready.

Speaking of the website, I loved how the intro opens up with the girl lying on the floor, breathing slowly, with her flashlight aimed in on direction and all of a sudden she gasps, shines the light on you. That fucking made me jump! This is gonna scare the shit outta me.

As it should, Adam! ;D
I love that flash intro, too. VERY Silent Hill-ish. Radha Mitchell even looks like the heroine in SH3. So far they're doing an excellent job!

Mitchell could prove wise casting (she did the survival sci-fi/horror thing before with Pitch Black). But you know, the girl in SH3 looked younger than her. I was thinking Alison Lohman, but that's me.

It's true Radha looks older -- I think Heather was only supposed to be like 17 -- but I was wondering if it might have been deliberate that they gave her the choppy blonde hair and the clothes (skirt and boots) like Heather wears on purpose, to sort of conjure up her image a bit. The movie's plot is based largely on SH1 but I know they're adding a lot of elements from 2 and 3 as well.

I noticed they're remaking "When a Stranger Calls." I have to wonder what the twist is going to be now. In the first, the police call to tell her the dude is calling from inside the house and your blood runs all cold. But nowadays, you know, we have caller ID to let us know these things. Damn technology!

You guys heard about this? ________________________
According to a posting at Bloody-Disgusting.com, KORN frontman Jonathan Davis is in talks to join the cast of next year's much anticipated horror film "Sin-Jin Smyth".
The script for "Sin-Jin Smyth" (written by Ethan Dettenmaier and currently being circulated with dummy pages in it), which is widely considered to be one of the industry's most original, is centered around a midnight prisoner transfer (moments after a tornado warning) of a man with no past and no identity and is set against a Halloween legend of midnight appearance of the Devil in a quiet, little Kansas cemetery.
"Reading the script of 'Sin-Jin Smyth' is like having steel dinosaur teeth take a bite out of you! It is unlike anything I've ever read and my hat's off to this writer for developing a new and pretty sinister story," continued the inside source cited by Bloody-Disgusting.com. "It really has a chilling feeling to it."
There is no word on which character Jonathan Davis will be playing but already onboard are Richard Tyson and Jason Hildebrandt (both of "Black Hawk Down"), Lee Ving (of the punk band FEAR) and members of the WWF. ________________________
I don't know; IMDb has him listed as being part of the cast (not that that's the most reliable source), however the movie's official website makes no mention of him that I could see. If it's true it could be interesting...

hmm, that is interesting. I'll keep an eye out for it.
Didya hear how Jon is planning on selling his serial-killer memorabilia collection, on account of how he no longer wants it around as a potential negative influence to his kids?
I thought that was pretty thoughtful of him.

I heard a lotta new, and terrific, music in 2005. It truly was a great year for music. But I gotta be honest, here: none of it managed to reach the intensity, the creativity, the scope, the power, the meaning, the heart, beauty, and ugliness of the new korn. I mean, *words fail* . . . . . first off, y'all gotta know that there is no longer even any room for doubt that See You On The Other Side is, in my humble opinion, absolutely the greatest sonic achievement from korn yet. No room for doubt, now. The album clearly has exceeded all expectations for me. The depths and heights reached on it are virtually indescribable. Here they are, 11 years later and 1 band member less, and they not only knock another one out tha park, but I'll be damned if it ain't the best yet, straight up.
I'll bet Head hasn't even listened to it.

Lady: have you perused the "Gothaholic Thread", wherein I tried to state my argument that KORN could qualify, at least in part, as a "goth" band?
I still have the "Ace" up my sleeve to hammer home the point ("Satan's Night Out"); I'm just waiting for the proper moment to strike.
HOw's things?
