well yeah, but I meant from Day 1, who'dve thought the band that dropped that first album. . . . would end up sounding anything like SYOTOS? And this next one.... man, it's going to be like a cybernetically enhanced radioactive mutant hybrid of skinny puppy genetically spliced with ministry fronted by Lucifer himself.

Yeah, but Lucifer sounds like Barney, so this really isn't a good thing.

Lucifer has the most beautiful voice ever created, from what I've heard. Back when he was God's most beautiful angel, before he got booted from Heaven for daring to explain to Eve that God was just trying to enslave her and Adam. If we were merely to hear the Fallen One's voice, we would weep at his feet from the sheer mellifluous beauty of it.
Jonathan fronted Satan's Night Out, so it all kinda makes sense. Not that you'd understand.

Yah, our Bakersfield crew is scheduled to perform on THE TONIGHT SHOW w/ Jay Leno, tonight and apparantly they're going for another pioneering "first" as they are hailing it as the largest production ever for any Tonight Show performance.
so yeah. . . . I'm pretty psyched for this. I sure hope Leno will invite em over to the couch after the performance, for some Q&A time.
I sure hope they don't sing "Freak On a Leash", as I'm pretty sick of that song, but U know that's probably the one they'll do, as a duet w/Amy.
*praying they perform Radiohead's CREEP instead*, or maybe (if we're real lucky) another stint w/Robert Smith . . .
*fingers cross'd*

HOly SHIT, I was BLOWN AWAY ! That was incredible. I sat there, riveted to the screen, could barely breathe so as not to miss a note ! Jonathan fuckin' nailed it, Fieldy & Munky were right on it, and the rest of the musicians, *damn*. Those drummers in the back were amazing. The song was knocked out tha park. I'm tellin you Lady. . . . their performance struck me w/such emotional force, it's unbelieveable. Hot DAMN that did a WHOLE lot to ward off all the fuckin' naysayers & their insipid slammin on this band, I was truly impressed, and I have to say, I went in w/some reservations, not exactly knowing what to expect. . . (almost dreading it, actually. Terrified my beloved band would somehow embarrass themselves. Boy was that not the case ! Yee HAW ! But I will say this: when the guys in the band claimed (the other day) in an interview that they intended to produce the most kickass Unplugged session ever, they weren't kidding around ! Based on that one song - I'd say they succeeded in that tall order. I particularly loved how they had managed to pick up the tempo on the song - making it quicker, more nimble, but w/all the muscular power inherent to their signature sound. "Blown Away" doesn't even begin to describe my reaction last night - I was so damn happy for them I nearly cried. FUck ! ;D

You know what really got me about the performance last night ~? It was a quintessential "KoRn moment" if you stop & think about it, based entirely on the meaning of the song: It was, in my view at least, quite literally Jonathan pleading to the fans, the Industry - anyone who cared to lend an ear -- to not "throw them away", that is, to allow them to continue making music, a heartfelt cry to not be abandoned on the side of the road as just another trend or phase in rock music. And I have to say (although I would stay true to them anyhow), for me it worked ! I mean, damn did their relevance come through loud & perfectly clear, I haven't been so moved by a late show performance since Sinead O'Connor sang on Saturday Night Live 15 years ago ! Straight up "Here To Stay" for damn sure ! Take that Rustywood, in yer face !
