willful 'no comprende' disingenuousness, along with extreme mischaracterisation of true statements, GROSS exaggeration of my 'legendary' paranoia which sedakan founding fathers have repeated endlessly...and then outright slander. i mean the proven unhinged, now thinking she's got me pegged as 'unhinged', all based on this exchange. uh-huh. the expert. with her long history of abject universal hate and truculence, who's the one in need of professional help here... but this entry is honestly an improvement on her previous droolingly whacked out ones. bravo someone! Haha. You know, there ARE plenty of people who don't like shin and often disagree with him. But again, it's not a secret. Unlike other less evolved message boards, at Sedaka you're actually allowed to speak disapprovingly to a mod without fear of said mod feeling emasculated and then swinging his enormous dick around...
Hypothetically.

Some moderators also ask if people can behave to a certain standard that they want to implement to keep the flow of their board going and yet still see people just shitting all over their intentions for their own selfish purposes. Mods can't win, can they?
Permanently.

maarts, do you ever grow bored of pretending to be even and balanced and reasonable, when really you're a bit of a condescending cunt? The reason you left Sedaka is because you've always felt above it. Above us. A few people were sad that you left, I was among them. But that was when I believed this nice guy persona you've played all these years. But it's showed cracks for some time. You're a lonely, bitter old man and the reason you take this place so personally is because you have little to nothing substantial outside of it. Fuck you and the high horse you rode in on.

I never, ever have felt above you. No at all. When I show support to anyone around here I mean it because I do care. Same went for you when you were regularly posting here (together with Layla). But you changed demeanor on these boards, turning from someone who talked about love and life onto the someone who took potshots at particularly RocDoc in some pretty foul language. You made it clear you didn't want to be part of this community- because we were not worthy of you?
In the past I have tried to build a bridge between these two communities to some avail. I personally regretted that you deserted Castaways. I did try to fit in and indeed was made feel welcome at Sedaka and I never denied that but the initial boards were full of subjects and talk that didn't align with me so that's why I never got back. It was never personal and you know it. These little flare-ups of encounters are just like the yearly re-enactments of Civil War-battles- people seemingly revel in doing them and the end result is always the same- like a chess game with repetitive movements it can only be a draw. No one's gonna win reliving the past but no one seemingly is willing to move on either. That's why I asked for the open access to Sedaka- to improve our knowledge of you and see if you are willing to communicate with some of us on your ground. My guess is that you still feel aggrieved about things that happened 3 years ago. Fine. People that want to talk to us are always welcome here.
As for my life, Tracy, you know nothing about that because you never showed interest in it. So don't you tell that I 'play personas'. I am not a troll, never posted outside of my original name and have solid friendships with some people around here for real because they took the time to get to know me. I suppose you do too within your circles but I only see what I get here from you and quite frankly it disappoints me.

I've seen Lionel live with my dad- he is alright! Can't vouch for his later work but early Commodores-work (Brick House!!!) is classic and his first two (maybe 3) solo-albums were good 80s pop 'n soul-LPs. I saw Lionel a few years ago when he opened for Tina Turner. It was one of those shows where I contemplated showing up late hoping to miss the opening act all together. But the person I went to the show with wanted to see Lionel because of childhood memories, so I gave in. He was outstanding! So much so that for a moment, I was sorry that he had to be done for Tina to come on. But then Tina put on the best show I've ever seen in my life. Lionel was still fantastic though. Not the best singer who ever lived, but the man gets how to entertain an audience.

I'm in the front row with popcorn.
Once upon a time I really enjoyed the boards. It was a place to share/read different points of view, a place to argue my ass off, a place to get to know others whom I otherwise would have never known. Honestly, they pretty much fucking suck anymore.
Mary Blaney once wrote one of the most brilliant posts I ever read... I'm not going to recount said post, but it's pretty much a great summation of why I don't post much anymore. As much as there are many, many people I like around these parts, sometimes the bullshit isn't worth it. This is one of those moments.
The Sedaka/Castaways bullshit is fucking ridiculous. Who cares!?!?!? I don't. Another board was created, an invite only deal. What's the big deal? Oh god, oh no, another board. If anyone doesn't like those people so much then who bloody cares what's going on over there?
I might not post very much, but I've been around... I was there at RS.com, I've been here for Castaways... and I was also one of the posters put on blast in the infamous secret boards. Do I give a shit anymore? No. Not everyone is going to like me, shit a majority might not even like me. Is it a big deal? Not so much. It isn't about friends for me, it's about conversation... the good, the bad, the ugly. I've made a few, but alas, it never was the intention.
I'm about ready to ask how to delete my account... I'm not necessary here, no one needs my presence, but unless there is going to be an actual discussion of the minds based on some sort of realism then I don't really wanna be around. This paranoia crap is annoying. Let's argue about something a little more based on something other than "if it's secret, then it must me bad."
BTW, Nicole Ritchie rocks, and my glass of wine is almost gone. I'm out.
peace.

Strat, hopefully you can PM me his email address so I can make an offer? He hasn't logged in in 14 months, I don't think a direct PM would do any good. I'm sure you can spare us some of the 150 members here, we're dying of boredom and loneliness over there. It was this sarcastic remark that caused me to reply with the numbers of members who had logged in recently. So, I guess shin was offended by what he perceived as an inflated member count on my part in the Wiki edit? Not sure. I guess it didn’t line up with his ideas of what does or does not constitute being a “member.” Hmmm. And this justifies instigating, supporting, or endorsing vandalism at Wikipedia or elsewhere…? I was completely expecting that someone would vandalize the section I added to the RS article. The telling thing is that shin endorses and supports the attack. Shin, you had to have a Wiki moderator tell you that an article on the Rolling Stone message boards was a waste of space? However, in a general article about Rolling Stone Magazine, one might reasonably expect to find a section about the RS website. That is the section I added. The past and present contents of the site are briefly covered, including their various attempts at hosting a message board. The reason part of my addition is still there, while yours was instantly deleted is because it’s in context and tells a story that needs to be told, and does have some significance. The story is about the website and what happened to the RS message boards. See, it’s not about strat-0 or shin, or sedaka or any other peripheral crap. It’s about what happened. That’s why the couple of sentences about Castaways were valid. They and the link provided some documentation and sourcing. And if you think there were only 400 people at the RS boards, I don’t think you were really there much. But don’t worry – another Wiki editor removed the mention of Castaways from the article. No doubt because the multiple vandalism and reverts drew attention. Rather than have a vandal magnet, they just removed that part. So congratulations, shin. You and your friend got that part removed. You just couldn’t stand it, huh? If your contribution got deleted, you were going to make damn sure that nobody else’s survived either – not if you could help it. Thanks a lot, shin! All of us Castaways here owe you a great debt! But I’ll continue working on the article. I think I have a solution, too. “It's just an arrogant exercise. It would be amusing if you didn't take it so seriously, but you clearly do. Lighten up. Who cares about whether or not Galactus is mentioned? Take the sticks out of your asses. Seriously.” Shin, here you again project your own feelings onto others and me. It also shows again that you do not understand what Wikipedia is. I must say that RocDoc is onto something when he says that you want to play both sides of the “funny” / “serious” thing. I added that website section to the RS article on a lark, mainly to give a nod to the folks here (and there) who have been on this long strange trip, and to document the history. Though I did try to be professional and adhere to conventions in good faith. Only a schmuck and a troll would try to fuck that up. BTW, yeah, I knew it was Kenny right away, after I saw the IP was routed through Richmond VA. Of course, the galactus stuff was another tip-off. Hey, at least Kenny had the decency to bow out after he decided he didn’t like the company here. How ‘bout you, shin? Join us, or please unjoin from this site. “We could all use a minute or two of putting things in perspective. To be angry at all at a Sedakan (who is not me) for "vandalism" is a blessing, as it shouldn't be there to edit at all.” Shin, once again, the fact that you put “vandalism” in quotes in that post is very telling. Sticking bullshit about “Galactus” into a Wikidepia article that’s not about graphic novels is called “vandalism.” No quotes needed. But it’s becoming clear that you are a troll at heart, along with your couple of toads, so it’s no matter. Is it that you think that your private hidden boards are that relevant and should be mentioned in the article? Is that it? Cause I don’t think so, shin. There’s nothing wrong with your having a hidden board with your friends – I wish you all well, knowing that some are my very same friends here, and hoping you enjoy your private forum (just as I enjoy mine). But it’s not even worthy of a footnote, in the broader scheme of things. One is an open and public direct spin-off; the other is hidden and private. …Ironically, you hide and then want to be noticed. Geez.

Always is good fun when the crowd are very enthousiastic around you and you can see the band lift because of that- ever see the live-DVD of Richie in Ahoy Rotterdam? That feeling.

Is the one thread on one board enough to make you choke on your popcorn, Slark? Pity, mate- you'd be missed on the Film- and Wackoboards and surely that outweighs any discussion that you don't feel are necessary? So pour some extra butter and salt on yer popcorn, grab a Coke and tell us what's doing with Madonna- she looks like a mummy!
