With respect Jac, just as it's quite easy for Matt to not log on to this site if he's bored with it, it's quite easy for you to not read his posts if they hold so little value in your eyes. If you don't care about his thoughts, don't read them. :-)

I dunno, Chrisfan...when I see the initials "jac" capitalized within a post, my curiosity becomes sufficiently peaked that I find myself throwing caution to the wind and reading it. It's not as if his posts "hold so little value" in my eyes. I've been reading his posts ever since he was Slarknaked. Sometimes I find some value in what he has to say and sometimes I don't. But when he decides that I'm mocking him (without good reason, I might add), I will admit that such unmerited accusations get under my skin to a small degree. Especially when he HAS mocked me (his creative interpretation of a song that I wrote) whereas his obvious reason for doing so, expressed in his method and his subsequent comments, was some sort of childish retaliation for my random substitution of certain words to be found in a quote he looked up, no doubt, in the "Busy Man's Kabbalah Devotional" by Marjorie Ciccone, which he posted here apparently for the edification of the less spiritually evolved. Not that I care about the song. Like I said, I was happy he went to the blog. I'm actually quite flattered, because he substituted less words in it than I did in the Kabbalah "Thought-for-the-Day"
I understand and even agree with what you've posted. But as I implied, I will continue to read the posts of anyone, regardless of the amount of value I place upon their thoughts, who refers to me (in any manner, negative or, in rare cases, positive).
That's understandable, I hope.
PS...While it's true that Matt's enlightening post (the initial one with the embedded wisdom) did not mention me, I don't think that's the same thing. The fact that I read it should prove that I value, to a certain extent, his posts. But it must be noted that I was lampooning the ever-so-sage "let's reach a higher state of consciousness in this life" bullshit and it had nothing to do with Matt himself...It certainly wasn't an attempt to rile him up, but I guess I should have known. I keep forgetting that Matheus=Kabbalah. How foolish of me.

you guys need to get high together or something. I once dreamed that I was getting high with the poster formerly known as Slarknaked (I mean to say, he was still Slark when I had the dream). But I woke up at the point where he yanked "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" from the CD player and replaced it with "Like a Prayer". I woke up in a cold sweat. Worst nightmare I ever had. But it was really pretty good while we were getting high. We were passing around the water bong and I was having a hard time not coughing. He laughed at me for a minute, then began coughing, too. The bud was the KILLER, I tell ya. But I think he may have just gotten spooked when "Lucifer Sam" came on, cause he was really enjoying the Floyd until that point.

You are the only one who knows your true motivations, therefore you're the only one who can say for sure whether or not your intent in any post was to mock Matheus, or any other poster. However, I disagree that his accusation is completely unwarranted. I also interpreted your 8/7 post immediately following his (I believe it's #185 on this thread) to be mocking him. If it wasn't intended that way, surely you can recognize that following a post immediately with one that mirrored it in style certainly risks being interpreted as mocking.

thanks skvor. i took the pic myself. it's my friend elisha posing with my plastic bone collection out at CLUI in wendover. It's really cool. Really cool. With everyone doing amateur photography, maybe we should start a board for hosting those kinds of things. Of course, there probably is already a board for that and if there is, you guys should start putting your stuff up there.

I have not used it myself, but know a few people who have used Gallery.com as a resource for creating photo display websites, and they seem to really like it.

Mocking, yes. Mocking Matheus, no. I would have done the same to any pompous load of bollocks, regardless of who posted it.
Honest.

I had a dream similar to that one. In my dream, there was no weed, only coke, but JAC just had to listen to Floyd, and I told him that his music is a real downer. I busted out my laptop and I compromised. A little "Proper Education" (Eric Prydz vs. Floyd) came out of the speakers, and JAC started dancing. It's when I woke up, drenched in sweat and screaming for my mommy. After I calmed down, I was just happy to know that during my dream he didn't praddle on about that Autechre stuff he's always blabbering about.

JAC, stop trying to make it out like you're bloody innocent. I really don't think I'm that important, whether you'd like to realize it or not... as a matter of fact, I know otherwise. I do know one important fact, you mocked MY post that I made when I deleted my account (which was a mistake). Not only that, in your long "spoof" post that you made about a fake forum, you not only mention kabbalah, but you also mention Madonna. I'm supposed to think that two jabs at kabbalah and one jab at madonna was just a coincidence? Yeah right. Might I also mention, we've all had to listen to your Jesus talk over the years, so I highly doubt my one or two Kabbalah posts a year really compare. Why don't you go shove your cult up your ass and I'll do the same with mine? Sound like a deal? (unless I missed the memo about JAC no longer being a Christian, in that case, I apologize) BTW, loved the growing up comment, looks like you have some work to do yourself. Exactly how old are YOU again? Not wishing to prolong this thing much more, but a couple of comments: The "growing up" bit may have sounded harsh, but it was in direct reference to something you said in your own post. Something about how you'd grown up in the last who knows how long. Just wanted you to know that it wasn't a pot shot out of nowhere. It is true that I have a history of "Jesus Talk" over the years, but to my remembrance I never got so bent out of shape when someone made a "not-so-kind" remark about it as you are doing here with all the "shove your cult up your ass" nonsense. As for whether or not I'm "still a Christian"...I long ago came to the decision that this is not the forum to discuss such things (ie it's been a while since anyone has had to put up with any "Jesus talk" from me). Whether I am or am not (a Christian) is really of no concern to anyone outside of myself and my family. It's personal. I'm sorry you had to endure so much of it. If it was half as annoying to you as your excerpts from the kabbalah are to me then I can understand why you would want me to shove it up my ass. The satire I wrote the other day contained jabs at MANY people, INCLUDING MYSELF. Not a single one of them was mean-spirited. Don't try to tell me you aren't being too sensitive and way too defensive about this. Apparently you are unable to laugh at yourself. Pity. You're no fun. I don't know why you think I'm "so bloody innocent". I know what I did. I know why I did it. It doesn't bother me in the least that you seem to have several misconceptions in regards to this conversation. As far as I can see, I'm not guilty of anything so I must be innocent. But I'd just as soon be guilty...you're gonna bitch and moan anyway. I suspect you are a drama queen. Nobody got hurt. I'd do it again, as my motives were not dishonorable. I really should know by now exactly what to expect from you. Even so, there are rare occasions when I find it humorous when you tell me to shove something up my ass or some similar vindictive instruction.
