Now here's a hottie in black and red... Shame she's been a dog for the past five years or so, though. What's with these rocker chicks, not realizing when they're hot and when they're not?

Maybe it's all a matter of perception. Maybe she thought she was hot with that weird-ass haircut. Just your opinion (and er, mine) that it was nasty.

No, no one in their right mind would have thought she was hot...
I've come up with a name for what PJ Harvey has. It's called "Billy Corgan Syndrome." When a perfectly all right looking person with long brown hair mistakenly thinks that they can actually be attractive in all black, only to turn into a hideous disgrace.

I never realized that unusual beauty was a prerequisite for wearing all black. Suddenly ekul has made me nervous. Here's an amazing woman. I'm not sure if "beautiful" is quite the right word, but striking, certainly... OK that second picture probably isn't like to win many converts. But shit, that woman is tough as nails. Unusual beauty is a prerequisite for any goth, certainly- you have to be flawless to wear all that make-up and clothing that brings out all your flaws.
As for just wearing black, well, you just have to have the skin for it. PJ Harvey doesn't. At all.

And yeah, Diamanda's spooky, for sure...
She's no particular beauty, but she can pull of the look because of her smooth, rich skin. It works well.

Louise Brooks is still my feminine idol though: The thing I love about "Lulu" is that she has such sad eyes. She has such a sense of isolation about her. It's sublime. NP: Public Enemy - Fear of a Black Planet (song: Burn Hollywood Burn) Cheers, M

Oh I wasn't talking about going for a full-on goth look at all - I mean, I'm not into all that goth makeup shit at all. Yech. I just meant wearing black, which isn't necessarily goth - it can also just be kind of rocker. Like if you went for a black t-shirt, a black jean jacket, a black miniskirt, and black boots, for example. You know, just hypothetically. Nothing at all goth there, but just lets people know you like your rawk n' roll, ya know?
Cheers, M

Bring it.
I'm more into classic blondes a la Bridgette Bardout.
Actutally, i just like pretty women in general. Women are awesome.
But u know, apparently men are obsolete now, they have MADE a baby from two womens genes or dna or whatever it's called.
