dont think people have got a foot to stand on what criticise britney spears or christina aguelira for smutty imaging to sell records - but wouldnt criticise a more talented artist for showing off just as much bod and being just as sultry and come to me, boys (the way those same people would interpret such poses)
i could care less if everyone stripped sexy for their art, whatever but as for picking and choosing WHO to criticise. that's devil.
not directed at any post, just came to mind, s'all.

I think Britney actually just covered Polly's "Meet Ze Monsta", so if you consider that they're really almost the same artist. Angel you didn't seriously expect to get a straight response from either of us clowns did you?  |

I think people in general who feel passionate about certain artists put on their blinders somewhat if there's any parallel made to something they hold in far less regard. For me the ultimate difference is if the imagery is sexy based on being linked into the artist having anything worthwhile to say. Polly is sexy and smart. Britney is eye catching and dumb. Plus I'm not sure Polly sells nearly enough records by comparison, and ultimately it's the same lot of us buying them, and most of us would if she were wearing an Arctic survival suit.  |
