It's easy, Riley... 1. Find a picture you want to use on a website. 2. Right click on the picture 3. Click on "Properties" 4. Locate the URL/Address of the jpeg/gif 5. Copy (ctrl+c) the URL/Address 6. Click on the Image icon (4th from the left on bottom row of post page) 7. Paste the copied URL/Address in the space where it says URL 8. Preview to make sure it's gonna work (not all of them will) 9. Post
Simple enough, eh?

Of course, I should point out that Kay Jay was the one who enlightened me in this technique, so many thanks to her...

What do you know. Thanks JAC. Although I'm sure not everyone will appreciate your having put me in the loop on this one, since there's no way I'm nearly mature enough a poster to have this skill at my disposal.

[glow=pink,2,300]LmAo Riley[/glow] Ok. . . now my turn . . . . About 1300 kilometers nothwest of Rio de Janeiro. The event was witnessed by 28 people present in the farm, who saw the big "disc of light" (maybe 50 meters in diameter) hover silently above the house about 100 meters high... then the disc shot down a blueish beam of light on the house and "abducted" a man who was lying on his bed. This was around 8:00 pm and when we broke in the bedroom, there was this intense ozone smell. We were all very amazed to have witnessed such a phenomena. The man who was abducted returned after 48 hours and had a lot to say about his experience (it was his 3rd abduction). Our group has been studying the UFO phenomena in this area for the past 6 years.

Is there a way we can turn down the "FUN" knob a tad...?

Hey JACkory -- I've discovered that this thing called "AngelFire" will end up blocking out the pics I've chosen. Do you know how I would be able to tell if, for instance, the above pic of the abducted fellow, would end up being blocked by AngelFire-? How does one go about discovering beforehand which pics randomly found on the internet are safe from AngelFire's blocking-? Please esplain, thank U.

What do you know. Thanks JAC. Don't mention it, Riley... ...although now I WILL expect you to plod through all the verbage in the Insect Lounge as a token of appreciation... FWIW, I like this set-up even better than the RS.com boards (with only a couple of minor exceptions) and I hope it turns out to be a permanent thing. Screw RS.com, ya know? Shameless PlugNew feature in Booth # 1, the Music booth at JACkory's Insect Lounge, JAC Reccomends, in which I offer up a few suggestions for the discriminating music lover who might be lookin' for something worthy to check out. Drop in and throw in your 2 cents worth, peoples! Peace in da Middle East! Now Playing: Bob Dylan The Bootleg Series, Volume 5: Live 1975

Do you know how I would be able to tell if, for instance, the above pic of the abducted fellow, would end up being blocked by AngelFire-? You're asking the wrong guy, Thorny... How did you come to learn of "Angel Fire"? I'm interested in the Angel Fire bit, but you might want to send a personal message to kay jay, who would probably know about it... Did you get the photo from an Angel Fire website? They may have restrictions concerning uploading their images, but like I said, I dunno... One thing y'all may want to take into account...the SIZE of the photos you post may cause the overall view of the posts to elongate in width. This won't be a problem for those of you with large screen monitors, but it does present some difficulty for those of us with smaller ones. May I suggest that larger photos be posted sparingly? Thanks.

Oh man I feel like ass. Went and got good and drunk last night because my friend is getting shipped off to Iraq this morning, and he had to get wasted and get some ass before he left off. He succeeded on both counts, now he just needs to stay alive in that tank he's gonna be riding around in...
Was almost happy when I was in the gym today and it started raining...I did NOT feel like running! Just felt hungry and nauseous. Came home and ate the last of my leftover pizza.
Not delivery or frozen pizza, mind you, but ekul's homemade pizza, with pepperoni, canuck bacon, mushrooms, olives, fresh sliced tomatoes and red bell peppers. It was delicious, although I really want to eat a whole bunch of tacos. Tremendous craving there.

ekul backed his car into a dumpster. Man I'd laugh but the other week I was circling around lost in parking lot city in Colorado Springs and I found what I thought was gonna be an exit (finally!!) but it was this stupid fucking dead-end drive. Very narrow and tight, of course. So I had to back out of it, and I have this huge German car and I am not an expert at backing up, so... yeah, ran over a few curbs while panicking trying to get out. Talk about claustrophobia. <p> That last Sopranos episode was weird all right. It doesn't help that I'm always fucked up on wine before I watch the show, but yeah. Kinda left you thinking ".....Okay.."<P> I suppose I should get a fancy little pic for my profile. Have to explore and find out where to go for that. This is a confusing format (very PC... ) but all my friends are here so. Sigh.

Aight JAC -- I got it figured out, thanks to TheLadyOfTheLake, who show'd me the ropes.
Yes, I got this one image (on another board) from AngelFire, unwittingly. The thing to do if AngelFire blocks your image -- is easy.
1)goto Imagetown.net 2)click on 'browse' 3)open the pic that you've (already) *saved to your hd* 4)click on 'upload' 5)Imagetown then gives you a NEW URL, AngelFire-Free, which you can easily MODIFY and replace the old AngelFire-URL with
and PRESTO!, your image has been successfully stolen from those AngelFire bastards, and left alone to be admired by everyone permanently.
;D

I have just procured computer software that allows me to view websites FROM THE FUTURE!!!. Yes, it's true, but the news is NOT all good. Check out this picture I stumbled upon at the CNN.com website dated July 4, 2004... Lots of cool stuff to be found at www.harrythecat.com
